Vampire

"You're a... vampire?" you said, your breath leaving you entirely. Edward nodded slowly. "But we're... different," he explained. "My family... we only live off of animals. We like to consider ourselves 'vegetarians'." he said with a light chuckle.  You tilted your head. "Have you ever had human blood?" you asked. Edward looked away. "Yes, I have... but I'd rather not talk about that at the moment." He had a lost look on his face, like he was remembering something. You played with your hair, wondering if he wanted your blood. Which reminded you, "Why haven't you been with Bella?" As soon as he heard you mention Bella's name, he grabbed your wrist and threw you on top of his back. It felt like you were falling, but when you looked closer, you weren't at school anymore. "Wha...?" you mumbled, dazed. "I'm sorry, sometimes I can't control my impulses." Edward said, apologizing. "Where- what-" Edward stopped you by putting an ice cold finger over your lips. You looked up at the huge house you were standing in front of. It took your breath away. Edward grinned at you, inviting you inside. "Really?" you asked. He nodded, grabbing your wrist again and leading you inside.
