It had been a long time since Elizabeth left her small town of Little Monroe in the beautiful state of Virginia. With 4 years gone by Elizabeth had changed. Instead of being the young, happy, southern bliss, wild thing she used to be, she had become more proper in her time in a English boarding school for young girls. There she had been taught not to run around bare foot in the mud (or not to run around at all for the matter), she was taught not mingle with boys for they had a bad influence. She was taught to let the males of the family do more work on the farm and instead they made learn to sew and cook. At first Elizabeth was hesitant on doing these new things she thought that they were underestimating what she could do. When in fact her father had sent her there so she could learn to be a lady and marry a wealthy man.
Now on her flight home she was trying to contain her tears after being cheated on, learning the news of her fathers death, and now being an orphan, resorted to something that used to bring her comfort, Country Music. Yes it was an outrageous thing for a lady to listen to it but it made Elizabeth remember her childhood and how she used to run barefoot across the fields of her farm. She looked out her window as the plane was landing, she was honestly quite excited to be home.
~Time skip cause I'm lazy~
Elizabeth was collecting her luggage and was heading towards the exit so she could get a taxi home when she her name being called out. " ELIZA OVER HERE, YO DID YA MISS US" it was a very Improper way to speak but alas that nickname could only belong to a certain group of people who she was afraid she'd have to face sooner or later. A group of 5 teens all about Eliza's age stood at the exit waving like no tomorrow shouting her name at the top of their lungs. Several people turned their heads to stare but Eliza couldn't care less she ran as fast as she could and towards the exit blowing right through the group. But as she was getting so very close to freedom and away from the teens a tall, right around Eliza's height, dark haired boy by the name of Malone Matthews grabbed her arm. Now Eliza was a very tall girl around 5' 11" so normally this wouldn't happen but alas the boy was beating her at 6 foot. "Hey woah now, easy" Malone smirked trying to the girl from running. Eliza looked him dead in the eye with a glare of pure hatred and said "WHAT ARE YOU DOING LET GO OF ME MALONE I HATE YOU I HATE ALL OF YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING!" The group looked taken aback by the shouting, the fact they they had to wait 4 years and drive 3 hours to the airport just to see Eliza so they could apologize for what they did in middle school.
It was the day of the 6th grade dance and Malone sat in Eliza's room braiding her hair. "Sooooooo..." Malone started. "So what?" "Have you asked him yet?" "I don't know what your talking about." Eliza shrugged off the question. "You do know very well what I'm talking about Eliza. DAVID!! Have you asked him to the dance yet!?!?" "WHAT!?!? No, no, no, NO!" "Aw what come on girl now your just throwing out your shot at a love life." "I don't want one." Eliza stated quite simply, but Malone couldn't seem to get neither did the group. Later that night as the group was all dancing a slow dance song came on. The group took one good look at each other and pushed Eliza right in to David. Maybe a little too hard. Eliza nocked david right over on to the snack table nocking punch and chips all over. Unfortunately the punch bowl was made of glass and broke when it hit the ground making glass shards go everywhere one slicing David in the face two more going right in to my arm. The music stopped and everyone stopped and looked at us. My arm was gushing blood while David just looked at me and yelled " ARE YOU CRAZY LOOKED WHAT YOU DID, MY FACE IS RUINED!!!!!" She looked at him tears running down her cheeks. Eliza looked back at the group at that moment they knew they messed up big time. Eliza looked back at her arm no one making a move to help her. Blood covered her dress and hands. She looked back at the people who were supposed to be her friends who were supposed to help her, they just stood there.
Now Eliza just looked at the two scars on her arm.
A small blonde boy stepped up "Eliza please we really are sorry we didn-" "I don't want to hear it Matthew!" She quickly interrupted. A very short girl with light brown skin and poffy black hair by the name of Kylie replied "please at least let us give you a ride home." She gave me a hopeful smile it was hard to say no. An average height, Hispanic boy whose name was Jullian gave me a confused look at the words that came out of my mouth next "I'm so sorry but I must decline your offer." "ELIZA WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED AT THAT BOARDING SCHOOL YOU'RE NOT YOU!" Jullian shouted. The last person an average height girl with short wavy blonde hair named London said "I'm sorry Eliza but you're going have to come if you want your wallet back." She held up Eliza's wallet. She shouldn't be surprised London is from Las Vegas. They used to steal coin purses all the time when we were kids like it was a sport"London are you sure we should be doing this it seems illegal." Eliza whimpered. "Oh come on it's not that hard my aunt taught me."
Ah yes if things could only back to the way it used to be when they were kids. Eliza gave in and went with them.
