Eliza's P.O.V.

I had finally given in to their will to drive me home I missed the farm. Since I left my dad had given all our animals away lucky for us another farm had taken them in. Also lucky for us that farm belonged to one of my closest friends Malone. Malone was a true southern country boy in his heart. Also a bit of a mamas boy but hey he was nice enough to offer me comfort when my mother died when no one else would. I had always been seen as a bit of an outsider. I was always up to no good weather it be from throwing chicken eggs at the school or it be declaring war on pants, maybe even showing up to church late covered in mud I always found a way to make trouble. It's not like I was a bad kid I was just too country for modern day southern society.

Eventually we got all my luggage together and headed out to the parking lot outside the airport. Everyone was looking around searching for the car cause Malone had quite clearly gotten us lost. "Way to go Malone now we're lost." London complained.
"Relax girl just look for a giant navy blue truck." Malone continued to look. The thought of Malone in a giant navy blue truck made me smile.

Malone's mom was getting us from school so we could work on our car project. To us back then it seemed big but we were only in 3rd grade so of course everything was big back then. We had eventually gotten to his house and were working on our model car when Malone asked me "hey Eliza we build little cars like this one but what kind of car do you want when your older?" Of course at the time I was young so my answer wasn't very serious. "Me I want an old ford pick up like farmer John!" I replied. "That's cool but ya know what's better..." I tried to think what could be better than an old pickup. "A GIANT NAVY BLUE TRUCK WITH LEATHER SEATS!!!" His answer made me laugh. "Still not cooler than my pickup!"

As we looked around I saw a truck that no way could belong to anyone else than Malone. Large muddy tires, silver lined running boards, a huge navy blue body, and of course the leather seats that you could see from the outside. "Yeah think I found it!" I said running towards the car. Everyone else seeming just as tired as me climbed in. " ok so I know it's a long drive from here to  Little Monroe, but how long is it?" I asked. "A huge whopping total of three hours!" Exclaimed Kylie. "Make it three and a half." London jolted in. "Why?" asked Matt. "Because I need to go shopping and so does Eliza." London death glared Matt. "Okay...then" Matt put his hands in the air in defense. "Wow London and shopping never thought I'd hear those two words in a sentence!" I joked around with them. As we were pulling out music started to play. The song...Candy Store. Yes though despite being stuck in England I did keep up to date with American musicals. Everyone apparently knew the lyrics so this wasn't the first time this had happened.
London: Are we going to have a problem?...You gotta bone to pick?... you've come so far why now are you-
Jullian had slammed his hand over London's mouth and we all broke out laughing. God I had missed hanging out with these guys doesn't mean I forgive them but I missed them. "Babe I love you but please don't sing." We all continue to laugh till it hit me wait hold up BABE!?!??! I had to have heard wrong but nope I turn around to look in the back seat and London and Jullian were kissing. "Ew, god get a room you two!" Matt laughed. It all started to sink in two of my closest friends were dating it felt weird especially when you're all in a group together but hey I have no control of the situation I just got here. Kylie must've seen me turn around cause she said "yeah it's a little weird but don't worry Matt don't really kiss that much." She smiled looking at Matt and blew him a kiss. "Hey what did I tell y'all about icky love stuff in my car!" Malone piped who had been focused driving up until now. We took an exit I didn't recognize and pulled up to a mall. It was around 11:30 so we decided that we'd do some shopping and meet up at the food court for lunch. I didn't really know where to start since it had been so long since I went shopping. I started to walk inside then London grabbed my hand and pulled me over to a clothing store with Kylie. "But I don't really need any new clothes" I said. "What have on really is fine."  They both gave me a look so I looked down at what I was wearing only to realize that it was my school uniform. They grinned and continued to drag me in to the clothes store. I looked around there were so many things to choose from.  I immediately went to look at the skirts and blouses. When I came back with cart the two girls just gawked at me. "What!?" I asked. London grab my cart without a word and lead me to the isle where there were ripped jeans, sporty t-shirts, and cardigans. "This is where you are supposed to shop." She said as if talking to a four year old. "Dear lord girl that school messed you up! You used to be the queen of ripped clothing!" Kylie just looked at me. I turned my attention to the clothes that were now in front of me. We jeans, leggings, short skirts, plaid tops, T-shirts, tank tops, and just about every other type of black clothing you could imagine. I eventually found a good load of stuff and went to check out. London of course stopped me and inspected my cart while I rolled my eyes. We then met up with boys for lunch and headed back to the truck, laughing and joking along the way. As we were getting back on the freeway the boys were doing a very poor performance of Alexander Hamilton while the girls just rolled their eyes. Then the music got cut off from the radio...
"We interrupt your to bring you a weather alert high storms have pick up in the Little Monroe area please be advised"
The radio then went back to playing music. I guess I was so busy having fun I didn't notice that a storm was brewing.

~Time skip cause I'm lazy~

We had made it back to Little Monroe except everything was a mess! Thunder and lightening everywhere with it raining like crazy we decided we'd go to Matt's house since it was closest. We all dashed inside already soaked. Matt got us some towels and lit a few candles cause right then and there the power went out. We spent the rest of the night catching up huddle up in blankets surrounded by candles. We all eventually passed out and waited till morning.
