Kellin's POV

I rush out of the school and towards the parking lot. I finally get to hang out with Alan and Jaime isn't around to check up on me. He has to be at the hospital all day today.

"KELLIN!" Alan screamed before running towards me with his arms open.

"Alan!" I start running to and trow my arms around him. "I missed you"

"Well you couldve called more often you know" Alan pushes me away slighty. "Damn youve gotten tanned" He says while exameining my face and arms.

"And your hair has grown a lot!" I exlaim. His red has grown 'till just past his chin.

Alan smiles while flipping his hair. "My dad hates it" He smirks. Alan has always been the polar opposite of what his dad wants him to be. And he takes pride in that. His dad wants him to be a buisiness guy at a large company and have a wife and kids, but Alan wants to play guitar and eventually be in a band and play music around the world.

"And... did anything exciting happen all the way in mexico while Jaime was gone?" Alan smirks at me while we walk towards the icecream shop. My face grows red but I shake my head. Alan doesn't need to know about the kiss. There probably isn't anything between Vic and me anyway.

"I dont believe you." Alan teases me before turning the corner and walking into someone.

"Hey- youre Vic!" Alan shouts before turning towards me with a big grin on his face.

"And you are?" Vic asked confused while pushing Alan away from him a bit since he didn't move after walking into Vic.

"I'm Alan" Alan says "I'm Kellin's best friend" I look at Alan alarmed. He cant just say that; Vic is Jaime's cousin.

"Hey kells" Vic smiles when his eyes fall on me. "How are you? Did you sleep well?"

"I'm okay" A blush covers my cheeks when Alan awes at me. Vic laughs at him before turning to me again.

"Where are you going?" His question was probably meant for me but Alan spoke up before I had the chance to open my mouth.

"We were going to get icecream. But uhm... my mom just called and she wants me home. So you guys should go" Alan shoves me towards Vic before leaing up and whispering in my ear "you'll thank me later"

"Alan,  but your m-" Alan puts his hands over my mouth and smiles at Vic before glaring at me. Alan's mom died when he was three years old. I sigh before smiling akwardly at Vic.

"Alright lets go get some ice cream then" Vic smiles at me before taking my hand and pulling me into the direction he came from.

"Bye Alan!" I shout at Alan's retreating form. I smile slightly at my stupid best friend. But he did give me a chance to hang out out with Vic again.

The same Vic who is still holding my hand. Neither of us make a move to pull our hands back so we just keep walking hand in hand.

"How did you first day if school went?" He asked while smirking at me. Our hands are swinging between us.

"It was okay, nothing exciting happened" I shrug. The ice cream shop became visible in the distance.

Im kind of sad about not being able to go with Alan, but I'm really happy that Vic is still my friend. Or well I think we're friends. Friends hold hands, right?

"How was your day?"

"Glad you asked." Vic smirked. We walked inside the ice cream shop. "You know my friend Austin, he has had a crush on your friend Alan for quite a while now."

"Really?" I say before letting go of Vic's hand and walking up to the counter.

"Yeah, he's just too shy to talk to him." Vic chuckles.

"Awe, I don't know who Austin is but we should arange for them to meet" I smile at Vic. I think Alan would be thrilled to know a guy likes him. He is always nagging about how all the cute guys are straight.

The girl behind the counter greets us with a smile on her face. Her eyes stay on Vic a lot longer and she tries to catch his gaze, but he is too busy looking at all the ice cream flavours.

"I want coconut and watermelon, please." Vic tells her, his eyes were still scanning the ice cream flavours. His gaze lifts up to mine. "What flavours do you want, Kellin?" He asks me.

"S-strawberry and mango, please" I can feel the girls eyes glare at me when she noticed that Vic never even looked at her for longer than a second.

"That'll be four dollars" Her voice turned emotionless when she realised Vic was still looking at me. He looked up her for a second before handing her the money and taking our cups.

"Thank you" He said to the girl before turning around and walking towards a booth. The girl flashed him one last flirty smile and a death glare to me before going back to checking her ridiculously long nails.

I followed Vic quickly and sat down on the opposite seat in de booth.

"That girl was totally trying to get your attention, you know?" I say before putting a spoonful of ice cream into my mouth.

"Oh, didnt notice" Vic shrugs before digging in to his ice cream too.

"How can you not notice that?" I ask incredulously.

"Because I dont care" He says bluntly. "Besides, I dont even like girls" He laughs before taking my hand in his from across the table.

"I like you" He states.

My cheeks turn red and I look away before pulling my hand away from his. "I'm with Jaime"

Vic sighs. "Yeah I know, but do you really like him?"

"Jaime is a good boyfriend" My eyes avoiding his. Why does he need to ask that so many times?

Why doed it bother me so much?
