The next morning felt slow. Especially to Huey. He was up before his two brothers like he usually was. Though, this time his chest was in a bit of pain, which forced him to wake up. He had managed to hobble down the stairs and to the couch. It was a struggle, but he didn't want to burden Dewey. Huey felt that waking his brother up that early just to help him down the stairs just wasn't worth it.
Donald was cooking breakfast in the kitchen. He knew that he didn't have to cook breakfast for the boys anymore, but it had become a habit.
"Dewey, Louie! Come eat breakfast!" Donald shouted up the stairs.
Dewey stirred in his sleep as he heard his name being called from downstairs. He sat up slowly and rubbed his eyes as he heard his name called once again.
Dewey got out of bed and went to Louie's bed, shaking his sleeping brother gently.
"Louie, wake up." Louie stirred a bit before sitting up. "Come on, it's breakfast time."
Louie nodded and got out of bed. The two brothers looked over at Huey's bed and realized that he was not there. They looked at each other in worry before deciding to go downstairs.
Donald was sitting next to Huey, talking to him in a low voice as Dewey and Louie came down the stairs.
"Has it gotten worse?" he whispered to the red triplet.
"A little," Huey whispered back. "Uncle Donald, I'm scared..."
"Don't be," Donald reassured him, still whispering. "You know you won't be able to go to school for a while, right?"
Huey only nodded in response to his uncle's question.
"Okay, now just relax..." Donald rubbed Huey's head gently before getting up and walking past Dewey and Louie before heading back to the kitchen again.
Dewey saw Huey sitting on the couch with an expression on his face that worried. It looked as if he was in a lot of pain. Louie tapped Dewey on his shoulder making the middle triplet turn around.
"What's wrong with Huey?" Louie asked. Dewey shook his, not wanting to be the one to break the news to his younger brother, so he instead walked over to Huey and sat down on the couch next to him.
"Are you still not feeling well?" He asked.
Huey looked at his brother and shook his head, mumbling a small "No." He took a deep breath, resting his hand on his chest as the pain there got a little more unbearable.
Dewey gripped the couch gently hating the idea that he could loose his brother to a condition he had no idea he had till recently. Louie walked over and sat on the other side of Huey with a confused look on his face. "So, um, what's up? It's a bit too early to look so depressed and tired." He stated.

Huey looked at his youngest brother, giving him a soft smile. "Hey, Lou... um, I'm just not feeling well, so Uncle Donald told me to stay home today..." 'And everyday after that.' Huey thought sadly.
He cleared his throat as he continued to talk to his youngest brother. "At least you'll have someone to be lazy with you now." Huey joked, managing a small chuckle, hiding the pain in chest that had increased a tiny bit more.
