Chapter 3: Heartbrakes and Lunch Dates

{warning: May be some kissing in this chapter. I will not reveal between who you must read on.}

~~~Emma's POV~~~

I was so nervous. I know I shouldn't have been because we were just going as friends but still I was. I dressed in a cute but casual outfit. I smiled at my reflection then walked to granny's diner. Killian was already there at a table with two cups of hot chocolate topped with cinnamon. "You remembered?" I smiled.

"How could I forget?" He flashed a charming smile that made me want to grab his collar and pull him into a deep and passionate kiss but he would probably hate it. I sat down next to him and smiled.

"So how's Henry doing? I miss him." He flashed his cute smile again.

"He's doing good. He likes living with his real father and having a father figure besides a pirate." I immediately regretted my word choice.

•••Killian's POV•••

Her words stung like a knife. I choked back a tear.

"Killian I am so sorry!" She caught herself.

"No...don't be. It's true." I pushed my feelings aside I couldn't let Emma see me cry.

~~~Emma's POV ~~~

Stupid stupid Emma! How could I have said that!

"What do you say you order for us and I'll go step outside for a bit?" He asked. I could see the pain in his eyes as he stood up.

"Killian wait!" I cried. It was too late he walked out the door.

•••Killian's POV•••

I felt bad for leaving Emma it's just my whole life I was told I'd never be anything more than a pirate. 'stop it killian!' I thought. She said she was sorry and she didn't mean it. I wiped my tears and went inside. "Killian?" Emma asked.

"Sorry I ran out like that love." I faked a smiled.

"Don't be." She took my hand. "I don't ever want you to feel like you're nothing more than a pirate. You are so much more!" She smiled.

~~~Emma's POV~~~

I was doing a lame attempt at trying to cheer him up. "You changed killian. You are selfless, brave, loyal, and loving...you're also one of my best friends." I smiled but I wanted him to be so much more.

I could see him start to tear up a bit. "As are you miss Swan." He smiled.

"Ok now let's eat." I smiled back at him. For a while we just sat there eating we talked a bit and before we knew it granny's was closing because it was late. I stood up to leave.

"Let me walk you to your car love." He smiled. I loved it when he called me love even if that's what he called everyone.

•••Killian's POV•••

I walked Emma to her car and she was absolutely stunning. I couldn't resist. I pushed her gently against her car, softly grabbed her waist then slowly pulled her in for a long overdue kiss. She seemed scared at first but she kissed back wrapping her soft arms around my neck. I kissed her for a while and she briefly stuck her tongue in and I moaned a little in her mouth. After a long while I pulled away and realized what I did. "Emma...I am so sorry."

She covered her lips. "I-I...I have to go." She got in the car and drove away. I missed her already.
