Eve and I waited by the bus stop. Finally the yellow bus pulled onto Schuyler Lane. We boarded the bus and I saw a bunch of mothers leaving the bus stop.
Suddenly I went falling forward and landed on my elbows and knees.
"Ouch!" I mumbled as the impact hit me.
"Hey, Agnes! Why is your mom never with you at the bus stop? Is she too embarrassed that you're her daughter?" A boy's voice , Jake, snickered.
"Hey!" I was surprised when Eve bent down and pulled me up. Not surprised that she did NOT do it gently. "The reason our mom isn't here is none of your business! Got it, Jakobi?"
"Yes, yes I understand Eve!" Jake exclaimed. I got upright and walked to the back of the bus, everyone laughing at me.

"Hey Agnes." Matt whispered to me.
"Hi Matt!" I whispered back. Matt slid into the seat to the left of me. Ella slid to the right, Jenn in front of me.
"We have a lot of new kids." Jennica muttered.
"Yeah, what's it to you?" Ella asked violently.
"Huh? Oh uh n-nothing!" Jennica shot back fast. Ella laughed. "Whats funny?"
"You were legit scared?" Jasmine asked as she slid in front of Matt. Jasmine was wearing a purple ruffle top and mean shorts. Her jet black hair was straight, which she'd obviously straightened, and her tan skin color made her brown eyes pop. She wore a dark purple headband. I mean, if she weren't so nice and smart she'd be popular. But she is a math GENIUS! So yeah.
