I got home late and still mom wasn't there.
"How was the date?" Eve asked, barely looking up from Twilight. Ew.
"Evelyn I told you, it's not a date!" I exclaimed as I plopped my shoes down by the shelf at the door.
"I know. Like Freddie would date YOU!" She cackled.
"Just stop." I sighed. I walked upstairs to my room, shutting the light off

I got into the school. I looked around earning me a beautiful smile from Freddie. I smiled back slightly and walked to my usual spot.
"Heyo, Matt!" I greeted. Matt nodded. "Hey Jenn happy birthday!"
"Thanks!" Jennica smiled, handing me, Matt, Jazzy, and Ella (and walking to Freddie) one.
"Jennica Willa is having a birthday party at 43 West Indies Avenue! Gifts are not required but are appreciated. Bring your swimsuit. Guest list: Freddie, Agnes, Ella, Matt, Jasmine, Georgia, Anna. We hope you can accompany us as Jennica is turning 14."
I smiled as I reread the message. Just looking at the card made me know it was going to be a great year.
