❝ ITS NOT A DATE ❞ ▬▬▬▬▬▬

"MIMI!" DYLAN CALLED as he saw me walking through the halls with Leila. He stumbled a bit "sorry uh excuse me" he mumbled as he pushed through a few students to get to Leila and I who had stopped walking and watched him.

"Hey uh L could you leave us alone for a moment?" I asked.

My best friend gave me a weird look that soon turned into a smirk but none the less she smiled and nodded "sure" she winked "I'll just be with Mr. Hoechlin."

"Hey uh I just wanted to make sure you were okay after everything that hap—" Dylan started but I interrupted him.

"Dylan, I'm fine" I smiled. "But thank you for checking up on me though" I told him. Not many people really cared to make sure I was ok. "It really does mean a lot to me"

"You're welcome." Dylan grinned "you're a good kid" he said "maybe we could become friends?" The male suggested and I nodded my head slightly. "I'd like that" I said as a grin spread across my face.

"great uh what about sitting with each other in the cafeteria today?" Dylan suggested with a smile and I thought about the idea for a bit. "Ehh..." I trailed off "you're really going to take me to the cafeteria on our first date?" I joked making the males eyes widen "I'm kidding" I told him with a serious expression. "But I'm serious about the cafeteria not being a good idea" I told him "I mean someone could see us and think we're dating or something—"

"But we are not dating" Dylan said and furrowed his eyebrows "yeah, I know that and Leila knows that but the other kids at this school might not and they might think we are or something." I rambled. "I just don't want you to get in trouble with the police or the law or whatever."

Dylan sighed "I guess you're right" he mumbled "maybe we could go out then? Tonight? You're staying at the 'Allison' right?" He asked me for confirmation with a raised brow and I nodded

"Yup" I popped the p.

"Great." The brown haired man smiled and ran a hand through his perfect hair. "I'll pick you up at seven?" He asked

"Make it eight" I laughed lightly

"Alright." Dylan said "eight o'clock it is, Miss Bennett" he smiled

"great see you then Mr. O'Brien" I told him

"and its not a date" he clarified

"yes, I know that" I laughed.

"Ok we'll see you then" He smiled

"See you then" I repeated as I watched him walk to his classroom and started to head to my first block which was Math with Mr. Hoechlin.

✧☽

"You did so well on your math homework" Mr. Hoechlin winked at my best friend who let out a soft giggle.

"Did I, really?" She asked him with a raised brow. Leila was terrible at math so it honestly would be really hard to believe that she did well.

"No" Mr. Hoechlin laughed softly "but I still gave you a good grade" he winked "just because you're my favorite student." He smiled

"Student?" Leila asked "I'm only your favorite student?" She pouted and crossed her arms making me roll my eyes.

"Person" Mr. Hoechlin clarified "you're my favorite per—" the older man got cut off by me finally having enough of Mr. Hoechlin and Leila's constant flirting.

"Mr. Hoechlin" I whined "I didn't understand this problem can you explain it to me?" I asked him.

"Don't cock block" Mr. Hoechlin told me "and yes you do understand it" he said. True, I did. Mr. Hoechlin and I had become somewhat of friends ever since he and Leila started to date. Leila was like a sister to me.

"Sorry Ty" I chuckled. Tyler was his first name and I'd always call him 'ty' for short.

"No problem" he chuckled then turned around to see some students arguing and cussing and the rest whining about not understanding.

"Hey hey no fighting" Tyler said then let out a sigh "one second" he told us "I'll be back" he said to Leila in a seductive voice making me fake a gag.

"So..." Leila started after Tyler had left "what's going on between you and Mr. O'Brien?" She asked

"Nothing" I lied but Leila knew me to well.

"Mimz..." The older girl looked at me crossing her arms and I sighed

"okay okay fine" I said. I sighed "My car broke down and Dylan had to drive me home" I said "but he caught my dad being abusive and now I'm meeting with my lawyers to get emancipated" I said

"Oh my god M." Leila frowned "if there anything I can do—" I cut her off

"I'm fine Lilo thanks" I said

"Where are you staying?" She asked, worry laced her voice

"The allison" I mumbled looking down for a bit.

"Oh" Leila said and was going to say something but the bell rang "better get going to my next class"I said and left the classroom.

✧☽

"Wow" Dylan said when I opened the door to my suite, letting him in. He took a better look at my dark blue off the shoulders dress and matching blue heels. "You look— wow" he continued making me blush and giggle.

"Are you sure that it's not too much?" I asked him but after taking one look at the suit he was wearing immediately knew the answer was no.

"No, uh not at all" Dylan said "so uh shall we?" He asked taking my hand

"we shall" I said locking the door of my suite as we walked down to the lobby then outside the hotel to his car "oh and Dylan" I said getting his attention "it's not a date"
