MOMMY ISSUES ▬▬▬▬

EIGHT YEARS AGO
SEPTEMBER  SEVEN

" ALLISON PLEASE " I woke up to the sound of my father yelling- again. Well technically I wasn't really sleeping just pretending like I was. Trying to trick my brain into thinking the darkness of my room was just my eyes lids closed.

"Please what, Hiram?"

I sighed and slowly got up from my bed hearing the floorboards of my room creak as I took small steps trying to leave my room and find out what was going on.

"Please don't leave."

Leave? My mother was leaving? Where? Vacation? It was a vacation it had to be.

"And why not?"

I finally reached my door and slowly opened it hearing it squeak as it slowly opened.

"Because I love you alli! Because mimi loves you!"

Our house wasn't as big as it is now so the top of the stairs gave me a perfect view of what was going on and let me hear everything.

"Bull shit! You don't love anyone but yourself, your money, and your company!"

I looked down at my mother and father trying to stop my self from making a noise.

"Allison you know that's not true! You know I love you! Even after you cheated on me, broke my heart, hurt me in ways you couldn't imag-"

I was in shock. My mom, my idol, my role model was a cheater.

My mom cut my dad off.

"Oh I'm the one that hurt you hu-?!"

Only to then be cut off by me slowly descending the wooden staircase "mommy are you leaving?"

"No I'm just going out to get some groceries."

Lie. The first one I remember my mother ever telling me.

"It's two in the morning" I frowned not believing her.

"And you should be asleep" Was she seriously trying to get me to leave. Did she think it would be easier if I weren't there watching? Maybe if I stayed she'd look at me, the babygirl she held in her stomach for nine months, the one she gave birth to and maybe she'd change her mind.

"Mommy please" I begged as tears started to fall down my cheeks "please don't leave" I whispered feeling more tears leave my eyes.

"I'm sorry"

The tears fell down faster and faster.

"Allison!"

My knees started to shake and the tears started streaming down my face even faster.

"GOODBYE!"

I watched her leave the house. I tried to run after her, to stop her but my father closed the door and held me. I kept screaming and crying hoping maybe she'd hear me.

But she didn't.

I'll never forget that day. The day that made me the attention seeking, alcohol loving, trouble making girl that I was.

The day that started everything for me. If it wasn't for this day I would've never been a trouble maker, teachers would never have feared me and I would've never ended up with him, Mr. O'Brien.
