─────────── CHAPTER NINE❝ MY WAY ❞ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
"YOU WHAT?" LEILA EXCLAIMED shocked at my decision but then again Leila knew me. She knew how ever since I was a little girl I've been a don't think before you act kind of kid. She knew how whenever I wanted to do something or had an idea I would rush to do it as soon as soon as possible and usually it didn't end well which is probably the reasoning behind the next thing she said.
"Don't you want to maybe I don't know stay here... at least for the end of the school year and then maybe we could move out to Los Angeles together? I mean you have no where to stay. There isn't an 'Allison' in L.A., M." Leila said softly
Maybe she was right, maybe I was going to far this time but then again what was left for me here? I didn't have family, my friends—other than Leila were all complete fake assholes and the love of my li— father of my baby hated the shit out of me.
"I'll sell my designers, all of them." I stated acting way more confident than I actually was.
Did I just say that? Sell my designer handbags? Designer glasses? Designer clothes?
"And my car." I added making Leila even more shocked.
Leila scanned my face to see if I was serious or "if this is just some prank." She raised a brow at me "then you better tell me, mimz."
"It's not a prank now come," I grabbed Leila's hand and pulled her towards the library "where are we going?" She asked in confusion.
"Library." I answered in a monotone voice as I kept pulling her
"You know where that is." I gave her an eye roll as a response and didn't answer.
"We need to research. You know apartments, costs of my handbags, jewelry, car." I smirked seeing Tyler "and your boyfriend can help us do the math."
"Hey girls, mimi I heard what happened and I'm so sor—"
I cut him off "I'm fine." I lied,as usual then looked at Leila "Lilo you told him?" I wasn't pissed just disappointed or maybe even jealous of Leila. She had a hot boyfriend, that like my ex? Or whatever Mr. O'Brien was to me, was a teacher but unlike with Mr. O'Brien and I their relationship actually worked out. She had a nice family, a mom that actually loved her—though she did work a lot and an incredible sister whereas I had no one.
"Mimz I—" i cut her off just as I did with her boyfriend, guess I have a thing for interrupting people.
"Never mind. We need to research now." I let out a grunt as I sat down on one of the wooden chairs which though it was obviously made of wood felt as if I was sitting on stone.
I shifted on the chair and pushed myself along with the chair closer to the matching wooden table then pulled out my laptop.
"Alright now lets get researching." A smirk spread across my face as I watched the couple sit down as well.
"Now what exactly are we researching?" The confused man otherwise known as Mr. Hoechlin or to Leila and I, Tyler.
"Mimz is selling her shit and buying an apartment in LA." Leila explained "she's moving now so we need to find some small apartments and how much her shit is worth."
"Let's start with the apartment." I said as I let out a small sigh and started to surf the web.
Rrrriiinnnggg
I shot up hearing the fimiliar sound of the school bell and sighing. Nothing. I have found nothing.
"Guess it's break." I mumbled and slammed my laptop shut looking at the two "what I'd think you two want to go have some romantic lunch time date or whatever, I'm being empathetic. Be thankful." I rolled my eyes seeing the expressions on their face.
"Mimz, that bell wasn't for the beginning of break...it was for the end of lunch." three hours. We had been in that damn library for almost three hours and all have found literally nothing.
"Wait." I heard Tyler say as he scrolled down on his laptop and muttered some things under his breath obviously reading.
His mutters got louder "studio apartment, only a thousand or something dollars, right next to a small cafe, help wanted at the cafe, not a great pay but not minimum wage."
"Oh my god." Leila said and grinned as she hugged her boyfriend and pecked his lips "I love you!"
"Yes!" I screamed getting up obviously way to loud since I was shushed by the librarian and a few other people who had spent their lunch breaks sitting alone in the library.
"Sorry." I whispered then turned back to Tyler "yes!" I whisper yelled sitting back down slowly.
I pulled out my phone and copied the number from the website with a small smile on my face. For once things were going my way.
