Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones were soulmates. Everyone knew it. Even the people involved in their early years of relationship.

Veronica Lodge, the new girl, could always sense the feelings they had for each other. She knew during the beginning days of the investigation of Jason Blossoms murder that it was only a matter of time to when their worlds would finally collide in the right way. She could see how Betty Cooper blushed throughout the entire day even after the events of having the evidence from the car that Jason had stashed away go up in flames the night before. She knew the permanent blush was because of the one and only Jughead Jones. When Betty had finally caved and told Veronica about her first kiss with Jughead, they couldn't stop talking about it for hours. This would become a routine. When he would call her beautiful, their little dates, their conversations, their first I love you's, their breakups, their first time... and second and third. Veronica was always there for Betty to obsess over how cute they were together. So she wasn't surprised when they all finally made it through high school together, or when Betty and Jughead both went to NYU for college for him to study writing and her journalism, or when he proposed to her, or when they got married and had kids. They all knew that through all their bumps in the road that Betts and Juggie would always find each other in the end. And that's exactly what they did.

Archie Andrews, the longtime best friend to Jughead and Betty also somehow always knew that they would end up together. He was the only one who knew that Jughead had always had a crush on Betty. Jug would kind of obsess over her to Archie, and Arch, being her next door neighbor, would guide him on the things that she liked. But in sophomore year when they started to become distant, he knew that Jughead still had a thing for Betty. He always would. He called it when Jughead Jones ended up being the one to kiss her first, ask her out first, say I love you first. He knew he was completely head over heels for Betty Cooper. Archie had laughed when Jughead asked him to be his best man at their wedding. He couldn't believe that his dream of being with Betty Cooper had come true. They deserved each other. It was perfect.

Kevin Keller had witnessed it all throughout high school, along with everyone else. He would swoon over every little thing that Betty would tell him about her lover. He would melt inside whenever one of them would call the other a pet name like "babe, sweetheart, love, beautiful, darling, gorgeous." They were in love in the greatest way of all.

Toni Topaz always knew that the Jones boy was completely whipped. Even when Betty bought that expensive typewriter for him during their break up, she knew that they would always find their way back to each other. Cheryl Blossom could see that cousin Betty did not just love him, but she was completely and utterly in love with him. Even both of their parents knew that their adorable high school sweetheart relationship would stay for a while. And now, forever. It seemed as if everyone knew. They would always be together. They were each other's soulmates.

Betty and Jughead grew up. They went to college together, moved in together. He proposed, she said yes. They got married. It was a beautiful, the way they said their vows with shaky lips and crying eyes. They were both trying their best not to break down sobbing out of all their love for each other in the middle of their service. They had kids. Two, one little girl named Juliet and a little boy named Forsyth the fourth, but they called him Jem. It was amazing.

They grew old together, never left each other's sides. It was all love between them. Their children were all grown up now, with kids of their own. Betty and Jughead. Jughead and Betty. They were always going to be together. And that's how it was, the night that they both slipped through the air and into a world more beautiful than Earth. It was sad to leave everything, but they were together, so it didn't matter.

They lay in bed late at night, his arms wrapped around her tightly. "Juggie?" He heard Betty whisper, the old nickname she had given him had stuck.

"Yes, beautiful?" He responded, a smirk creeping up his lips.

"Do you ever think back to the days when we were younger? Back when we were hopelessly in love teenagers?" She says.

He takes a breath, letting in all the memories of the past. "All the time. It's amazing to think of how far we've come, Betts," He rubs soft circles across her skin. "Why do you ask?"

"I was just thinking back," She takes a pause, "I love you, Jughead Jones."

"I love you too, Betty Jones," He says, still smiling at the fact that she now shares his last name. "Goodnight, sweetheart."

"Goodnight, gorgeous." She responds.

And so they slip into the night, somehow both knowing that they wouldn't wake back up again, but it was okay. They were together. Always were, always will be. Together. Till the end of time.

Kinda a scrap but whatever :)
