Brendon's car was honestly nasty. Its fabric was stained, (with who knows what with), there was trash everywhere, and, what is that? A pair of some girls underwear. Of course.

"You excited for the first day of school?" Brendon asks, squinting his eyes. Brendon is that type of guy that you could just look at and you'd smile. With his nicely cut dark brown hair, his big coffee-colored eyes, and his thick lips, he's a person that everyone wants to be around.

"Yeah, I guess," I mumble, rubbing my temple. Honestly, school stresses me out. I'm a gifted student, that's something you could say for sure, but it's not the academics I dislike. It's the people. But I have Brendon. He has been my best friend practically since we were born, and it's going to stay that way. I'm sure of it.

Brendon chuckles to himself. "Remember when we went full-on commando in front of Mrs. Eastin in third grade? God, I'm so glad that we don't have her as a teacher anymore."

I smile, recalling all of the fun times Brendon and I have had.

"I remember," I say, looking at Brendon and grinning. I don't deserve a friend like Brendon. He was always there for me, through thick and thin. I'm glad to have him though.

"Sooo," Brendon says, trying to start a real conversation. "I met this cute gay dude on Instagram..."

I roll my eyes. Since about 2 months ago, Brendon has been dating this boy named Ryan. Ever since then, he's been trying to hook me up with someone so that I'm not "lonely". It's probably just for his enjoyment though.

"His name is Joshua Dun, but he prefers to be called Josh. He has pink hair, which I know is your favorite color," Brendon continues, smirking.

I pout and slouch in my chair.

"To make it even better, he says he's the biggest dom that you'll ever meet," Brendon finalizes, grinning from ear to ear.

Soon enough, Brendon pulls up in front of the mall.

"I was thinking that we could do some shopping?" Brendon asks, smiling at me.

"Sure! I love shopping!" I say, grinning from ear to ear. My family was extremely rich, so shopping was always fun for me because I could buy whatever I wanted. Brendon  steps out of the car and slams the door shut behind him. Out of the corner of my eye, I see him grab his phone out and smirk as he texts someone. Maybe it was Ryan. Brendon comes around to where I am standing clueless, and grabs my hand.

"Let's do this!" Brendon says, dragging me to the mall's entrance.
