Orphan

I was raised by my adopted mother, Leonila Mendoza, a kind hearted, hardworking spinster.
I grew up in an orphanage and that's where Nanay Nila found me. She's a cook at the May Bahay Orphanage which is run by Nuns. I help Nanay in the kitchen while I was there, she grew fond of me and decided to adopt me, as she was living alone all her life. I was 8 then.
That was 10 years ago.

I'm Nicomena Deine Mendoza, my Nanay calls me Nena for short. I finished high school and took some vocational courses as Nanay can not afford to send me to college. I took some cooking classes thinking maybe that I can be a cook/Chef one day, just like Nanay Nila.

Nanay worked as a cook/housekeeper to Lady Marigold Hassan, she wants to be addressed as Lady Marigold, she is the second mistress of a certain King who resides in the Middle East, he visit her from time to time and vice versa. He is a very wealthy King.

Lady Marigold is bi racial, Filipino father, German mother. A very kind hearted, generous lady, she has no children, she owns many businesses, name it, Restaurants, Hotels, a clothing brand, to name a few. She hired Nanay as a cook/ housekeeper two years ago. Lady Marigold is an orphan herself and one of her favorite charities is the May Bahay Orphanage where I came from. She donates a lot of money to the orphanages as she has a soft spot for children who lost, or never knew their parents, someone like me.

Sabi ni Nanay, iniwan daw ako sa bahay ampunan ng isang matandang lalaki at inihabilin kay Sister Isabela. Sadly, Sister Isabela died a year after I was brought at the orphanages, sabi ni Nanay kung nabubuhay pa siguro si Sister Isabela baka may maikukuwento sya tungkol sa matandang nagdala sakin sa bahay ampunan.

I have fond memories when I was at the orphanage. I remember watching this young boy on TV, such a good actor, ang bilis tumulo ng luha nya. I was 5 at the time ng makilala ko ang magaling na artista na ito.
