Chapter 5

Levy P.O.V

When did I fall asleep? I sat up, rubbing my eyes with my good arm. I looked around, something was off. I saw the bedroom window was open and by the door there was something dark on the floor. I crawled out of bed and knelt next to it, my heart nearly beating out of my chest.

It was a dark puddle of blood.

I was on my feet, running for the stairs as I called for Gajeel. I didn't notice I ran over broken glass and cut my feet. The front door open and Talli walked in, humming to himself. "Talli!" He froze. I never call him that.

"What's wrong?" I ran to him. "Gajeels gone and there is blood in the bedroom." He immediately went upstairs to investigate. First he inspected the broken window and then the blood. My blood was boiling as I thought about what could have happened. And I slept through it all.

"It was probably Ultear and her Arc." "Why didn't they kill me then? I was asleep in the bedroom" Despite my fury my voice was dangerously calm. "She probably took him to torment you. Its possible he could go through the same as you did." My stomach turned at the memory and I nearly got sick, thinking of Gajeel going through it. "Natsu should be able to pin point their location thank to the bomb they so kindly left." I was out the door before he finished, sprinting for the manor.

I ignored the stares as I ran for Natsus lab. He nearly dropped the explosives in hand when I slammed the door open. "Did you track the bomb ingredients?" He was about to tell at me for interrupting him, but the look on my face made him snap his mouth shut.

"I was able to track it to the coastline not far from here. Some warehouse by the ocean." He handed me a paper with directions to the supposed warehouse. "I want you ready to leave in an hour." I said to him. I went down to the armory and began grabbing everything I could think of. I tied combat boots on and a bullet proof vest. I made sure it was snug around my stomach.

"Charging in will only get you killed." I turned to see the Don. I turned back to loading up the bag in front of me. "Talli called you." He was quiet. "I can't leave him in their hands...." "We'll get him back." "You don't understand!" I shouted. I was shaking hard and I wiped my eyes, not realizing I had started to cry. "He can't go through that... That horror... And he can't die..."A little chuckle escaped my lips and I put my hand to my stomach. "Our baby can't go their whole life with out meeting him...." He gasped a little.

"Levy..." "Gajeel doesn't know yet. Only you and Talli..." I looked down as he put his hand on my arm. "I swear we will bring him back, but you have to think rationally about this. Just charging in will get all of you killed." I took a deep breath an nodded and let him lead me upstairs.

Gajeel P.O.V

I woke with a gasp, a metal pipe meeting my gut hard. I coughed, spitting blood. "Good morning sunshine!" Ultear said sickly sweet. When I finally caught my breath I looked around. We were in some kind of warehouse and I was dangling by a chain from the ceiling, my arms suspended above me. My feet were chained together. I was still bleeding from my stomach wound, even worse now that she had beaten me.

I glared at her and she simply laughed. "That's the same look your girl always gave me. I must say, are all you fairies like this?" I didn't answer her. I tried thinking about away to get free. With my chained feet it would be next to impossible but I had to try. I smirked and spit at her, causing blood to splat on her face. She glared at me and stepped forward with the pipe again. I gathered all my strength and kicked her as hard as I could in the chest.

As she went sprawling I pulled myself up with my arms and tried to unhook myself from the ceiling chain. A sickening crack caused me to curse in pain an my arms gave out, sending more pain through my now broken arm. I forgot about her lackeys. The man stepped away as Ultear pulled herself up and stepped towards me. The pipe came in contact with my skin over and over and I tried not to scream in agony. "I will beat you to within an inch of your life, and when you are begging me to finish you off, I will kill that bitch right in front of your eyes!" she screeched.

I glared at her as I bit back my pained cried. I couldn't curse at her like I wanted as se continued to beat me senseless. I was sure it had several more broken bones and I would be black and blue if I managed to get out.

At least Levy is safe.
