Chapter 12: Coffee and a Show

  "Are you sure she will be alright?" Peter asked nervously. The three had just made their way out of the apartment, (you just LEFT HER???? She's like the BEST CHARACTER SO FAR) "I mean, what if she gets hurt and we can't help her?!"
    Jessa put a hand on his shoulder,"She'll be fine, also she has the avengers on her side."
     Loki nodded,"Yeah, I guarantee that the girl will be alright."He shuttered,"I have experienced what they can do first hand."
    "Exactly."
    Peter shrugged,"Well, maybe that's not such a good thing?" Jessa let out a groan.
    "Peter! She'll be fine! I promise." Jessa opened the door to a coffee shop," While we figure out where Volkan is so we can stop him, let's take a break, and get some coffee." (at Stirbox? You white girls)
     Loki shrugged,"That is not a terrible idea, I would enjoy that." Back when they were at Jackie's apartment Loki had changed into a more... Midgardian outfit. (probably just a t-shirt and jeans. For some reason that's all I can ever imagine a human male outfit being. It's bad.) He didn't despise it too much.
    Peter, and Loki sat down at a table. Jessa still stood. (wow that sentence is really confusing if you didn't read the one before it)
    "Excuse me." She started with the most mockingly white girl voice ever,"I'll be your barista today, what can I get for you today?" (OH MY GOD, that's like, totally the best thing ever, like I can't even!!!!!!!!11111!!)
    Loki stifled a laugh,"I'll take a tall, hot raven, with forest green eyes." He added a wink. (oooooh hooooo) Loki's eyes changed from a blue to their natural emerald green color. (wait

    Jessa blushed while pretending to write that down,"And for you?" Jessa looked up at Peter.
    "I'll get whatever he is getting." (bitch) Peter smiled, sassily raising one eyebrow, and looked over towards Loki.
    Loki playfully glared daggers at the other man.  Peter sent him and amused smile.
    "I'm just kidding, I'm joking!" He chuckled,"I'm gonna find my own woman." (yeah, LEAVE)
   Jessa looked Loki in the eyes. She stopped, confused, and dropped the act.
   Jessa bit her lip out of habit, "Loki? Have your eyes always been green? I swear they were just blue."

    Loki's breath hitched,"They change color sometimes." He stated quickly.

    Jessa shrugged it off,"Alright God of Mischief." She fake smiled,"Now, what would you guys really like?" Loki shrugged.
    "Whatever you get, love." He smirked, quickly recovering. (AAAAAAAAAAAAA

    Peter nodded,"Yeah, that." Jessa let out a breath of faux frustration.
    "Fine."
    She walked up to the counter,"Uhh, hello. I'll take three caramel frappes, please." The barista gave her an unenthusiastic look.
    'Why did Loki's eyes turn green?' Jessa thought,'Was it something to do with the tesseract?' Jessa let out a silent gasp,'The tesseract can control people and S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't even know!' (oh honey they do)
     The barista handed her the drinks in a drink carrier. Jessa handed the woman two twenty dollar bills,"Keep the change." (wait... How expensive are these things?)
    Jessa set the frappes down on the table. 
    A quiet high pitched noise could faintly be heard. Peter looked around trying to find where the noise was coming from.
    "Kids, with their stupid little ringing apps." (BACK IN MY DAY WE HAD SPACESHIPS) Jessa rolled her eyes, handing the boys their frappe's. Loki took a quick swig of the beverage. His eyes widened. (I'm tellin ya, coffee goes through you like a bullet train)
   "GET DOWN!" Loki exclaimed, pushing Peter down towards the ground and kind of pinning Jessa to the wall. The windows suddenly shattered inwards, glass pierced Loki's back. (ouch)
    The ringing noise grew louder, Jessa flung her hands up her her ears to cover them. Loki winced at the noise. He pulled Jessa closer to him, her face buried in his chest, blocking out the noise.
    As soon as the noise faded Loki pulled away from Jessa.
    He cupped her face,"Are you alright, darling?" Jessa nodded, blushing at their proximity. (ohn hon hon)
    "Mhm, yeah. Are you okay?" Jessa responded. Loki turned away from the woman, wincing.
    He looked over towards the glass,"Yeah, I'm... fine." (NO HE'S NOT) Jessa's eyebrows furrowed, she was unconvinced.
    Peter quickly stood up,"What the heck, Loki just saved my life!" (wow strange doesn't happen every day now does it? BE THANKFUL YOU LITTLE TURD)
   Someone stepped through the door of the cafe. A hood covered his face. His boots and gloves gave off a fiery vibe. (THIS    GIRL    IS     ON    FIRREEEEEEEE)
    "It's been to long old friend." His voice was laced with venom.
    Jessa growled,"Volkan. I'm gonna murder you!" She took a step forward only to be thrown back by one of Volkan's black spikes. The spike latched her to the wall.
   "Jessa!" Loki called to the woman. He went to run over to her but was flung back by another spike. His body hit Peter's and both of the men were knocked unconscious.
     Volkan stepped in front of the woman,"Hello Angelis Regina." He stroked her chin with one finger,"It's been awhile."
    Jessa growled, causing Volkan to retract his hand,"Scared, Volkan? Even you of all people should know that I'm not the Angelus Regina." (oh honey you are. Queen.)
    "Oh dear, Jessa I'm afraid that you are the only one of your species left." He sent her a sickening grin,"I killed them all."
    Jessa's breath hitched,"No, it's not true." Tears welled up in her eyes.
     "I'm afraid it is Jessa." 
    Jessa shook her head,"You're lying." The tears started falling freely from her eyes,"I'm gonna kill you." Jessa started thrashing around, trying to escape from the death grip. Jessa then went limp, deciding not to move.
     Volkan smiled,"Good girl." He chuckled,"You know you can't go anywhere." Volkan walked over two Peter's and Loki's motionless bodies.
    He grabbed Peter's arm and pulled him up.
   "Until you give me the destruction stone I am taking this man." Volkan smirked,"Be careful what you choose. We wouldn't want him dying now would we?"
    Jessa shook her head,"No." Volkan turned around facing the woman.
   "Oh, and before I go." Volkan turned around towards Jessa. He stood so they were face to face,"I've decided to give you a little gift."
     Volkan let out a chuckle before making a spike appear in his hand. He plunged the spike through Jessa's side.
    "This won't kill you, I know." He sent her a confused glance,"To scared to use your wings, huh?"
     "Your- going to d-die... for this." (clicheeeee)Jessa took in labored breaths.
     Volkan shrugged,"I'll take my chances." He grabbed Peter's arm again,"See you later Angelus Regina."
     With a flash Volkan was gone, taking Peter with him. The spike released her from the wall. She fell to the ground and didn't bother to get up.
    Loki let out a groan,"What happened?" (Volkan did) He glanced over towards Jessa,"Oh my-" He scrambled over to the woman,"Jessa!"
