Chapter 14: Road Trip!

  "Uh- maybe you should get a shirt on." Jessa glanced away from the man. A smirk tugged at the corner of Loki's lips.  
    He snapped his fingers and a shirt suddenly appeared in his body,"Better?" He paused,"Are you sure you will be alright?"
    "Yeah, I'll be fine." Jessa shrugged,"I tend to heal quickly." She opened the door that lead out to the hallway, Loki followed close behind.
    Darcy rounded the corner almost bumping into Jessa,"Oh my- I am so sorry!"
     Jessa put a hand on Darcy's shoulder,"It's fine, really!"
    "You look surprisingly human." Darcy stated,"I expected you to look more like-" She gestured to Loki,"Stronger, more muscular."
    Jessa chuckled shaking her head,"I am not an Asgardian,"She paused,"It's Darcy right?"
    Darcy nodded,"Yup, that's my name, don't wear it out." (heh heh heh)
     "Listen, we... we need to borrow your car." Jessa stated,"I have a good idea of where Volkan is going next." She glanced over at Loki.
      Darcy rolled her eyes,"Uhg, first Thor comes to take Jane to Asgard, and now two deities want to steal my car!"
     "Borrow, and Thor was here?" Loki inquired,"How long ago was this?"
      Darcy shrugged," I dunno' a day or two tops, but- uhh- why do you want my car?"
      "Long story short, a bad guy kidnapped our friend, I think I know where he is and I need to save him. Cliche right?"(yeah pretty much) Jessa explained.
     Darcy nodded,"Wow this could be the storyline for a really good book."Darcy let out a sigh,"Fine I'll let you borrow my car."
     Jessa grinned jumping up and down energetically,"Thank you! Sooo much!!" Jessa grabbed Darcy's hand," I promise I'll return it." (I never said in one piece)
    Darcy chuckled,"You better." She led the two out the side door and into the garage,"Not a scratch." (ah got me there)She handed Jessa the keys.
    Jessa curtly nodded,"Alright, Loki get in the passenger seat, I'm driving."
    "Please don't kill us." Loki winced,"I'm not sure I trust your driving skills."
     Jessa put a hand to her heart feigning hurt," I'm insulted, in the best driver in the cosmos!"
     Darcy called to Jessa as she got in the car,"Do you know when you will be back?"
     "Nope," Jessa shrugged,"don't be surprised if it just appears in you garage someday."
    Jessa started the car and pulled out of the now open garage.
     Darcy let out a sigh,"Man, main characters get all the fun." (WHOA
MEET DEADPOOL RIGHT NOW HONEY. YOU'LL HAVE A BLAST)
       Loki glanced over at a Jessa who was staring at the road,"So, what did you mean when you said you knew where Volkan was?"
     "The last time Volkan destroyed a civilization he would start with a small area. He would do that just to make an example." Jessa explained, she glanced over at Loki," Do you think you could conjure up a phone for me?"
    Loki sent her a questioning look,"What for?"
     "I think I can track him down, I'm not and expert on hacking but.... I learned a few things when stalking Tony."Jessa chuckled.
     Loki shrugged, concentrating on making a phone appear in his hand. (boop there it is) He handed the phone to her and raised one eyebrow.
     She grabbed Loki's hand and placed it on the steering wheel,"Here you drive for a minute." Loki held the car surprisingly still.
    She typed a few things onto the phone, quickly she pulled up the GPS. She took the wheel back from Loki.
    "Never do that again." Loki growled, crossing his arm,"I don't know how to drive." (HA HA)
     Jessa smiled,"Maybe I'll give you a lesson sometime."She winked at him, as his face tinted pink,"... Scanning area for abnormal frequencies." (???)
     "What does that mean, love?" (yeah WHAT) Loki asked skeptically.
      Jessa let out a breath puffing up her cheeks in the process,"Well people from different parts of the cosmos usually let off different frequencies than people from earth." Loki shrugged.
     "I have no idea what that means, darling." He paused,"I guess I'll just act like I know what you said."
     She glanced at the GPS,"Kay' whatever, it looks like Volkan is currently.... in the New Mexico desert." She looked at the GPS confused,"Wait? You teleported us to New Mexico!?"
    "Yeah, it was the only place I could think of going to, I couldn't bring you back to Jackie... that would lead Volkan right to her." Loki explained,"You would have died."
     Jessa glanced over at him,"I'm glad you saved me.... you wouldn't have anyone to make smart decisions for you!"
     "Yeah right, you make the smart decisions." Loki scoffed.
      Jessa chuckled,"You know I'm right." She quickly hit the brakes as another driver cut her off,"Oi! Idiot watch where you driving!" She mumbled a curse under her breath.
     Loki chuckled,"You have rage in you, it's remarkable." Jessa waved him off.
     "Oh shut up, frosty."
