Hey guys! B here! I am back with another chapter. So..... for the past few weeks I have been in foster care. My parents were in a bad spot in the custody battle. But my dad now has full custody and I am living a normal teenage life with him. (That's what I wanted in the first place.) Anyways.... on with the story!
—————-General POV
Henry was hiding under his bed. He had a doctors appointment that he quite honestly didn't want to go to. Mainly this was because the boy was getting a few shots. The boy hated shots.
He heard the clinking of keys getting jabbed in the doorknob. Henry buried himself further under the bed. "Henry!" Rachelle called out. "I'm home!"
Henry clasped his small hand over his mouth. The boy heard the clacking of heels against the wood as they came closer to his door. Henry heard the door open.
"Henry it's time for your doctors appointment." She said as she entered the room. Rachelle looked under the bed, straight at Henry.
"Hey buddy!" Rachelle smiled. "Why don't you come out from under there so we won't be late for your appointment. Henry shook his head.
"What's wrong?" The young mom asked gently. "No shots!" Henry yelled. "Well you need these shots, baby." Rachelle reasoned. The boy shook his head.
"How about I hold you while you get the shots?" The woman reasoned again. Henry contemplated this and nodded his head. The boy crawled out from under the bed.

At the doctors appointment...
"Henry Go?" The nurse called out. Henry and Rachelle both got up. The boy gripped Rachelle's hand in his tiny one as they were led to the weigh station in the back.
"We're going to need you to take off your shoes for this one, sweetheart." The nurse said gently. Henry pulled off his dark blue converse and trudged to the weigh machine.
He stepped on the scale and it took a minute for the scale to calculate it. "47.3 pounds. That's good for a growing boy!" The nurse smiled.
The boy stood against the height stick (that's what I call it.) "3 foot 5 inches! That is the average height for a boy your age!" The nurse gave him another wide smile which creeped him out.
——————-
Timeskip to the shot...Henry climbed up on Rachelle's lap nervously as the nurses wheeled a cart of 4 shots in the room.
————-
Timeskip to when they are done with the shots... (cuz I'm lazy...)Henry was bawling in Rachelle's arms as she carried him to the car. She gently rubbed his back as she approached the car. Rachelle opened the passenger side door in the middle.
Rachelle placed the boy gently in his booster seat and buckled him up. She stroked his cheek a little bit. Then she closed the door and climbed into the drivers side.
Henry had tears streaming down his face as he silently watched the streets pass by. He stuck his thumb in his mouth as he hiccuped a lot.
When they got home, Martin was home. Rachelle got out of the car and walked over to Henry's side. As she opened the door, Henry was still teary eyed.
She unbuckled him. He put his arms up, motioning her to carry him. Which she did. When they entered the house, they were greeted by Martin.
"Hey! How'd the appointment go?" He asked. "It went good. Henry's still a little upset, but some cuddle time with me and a nap should calm him down." Rachelle said.
She sat down on the couch with Henry on her lap. The boy laid his head on her chest and stuck his thumb back in his mouth. Rachelle wrapped her arms around him.
They both closed their eyes and went to sleep.
Martin walked into the living room and smiled. He took out his phone and snapped a pic. He captioned it on instagram:
My wife @gorachelleann and our adopted son, Henry, having some quality snuggle time and a much needed nap after Henry's doctors appointment. So grateful to have these two in my life. I couldn't imagine a life without my wife and son.
