Dalton's p.o.v.
I walked up to Lilly's doorstep with a picnic basket in my hand. It was my last day in Kauai and I had something special planned. I knocked on the door and rang the doorbell five times. I didn't want to be rude but I tried the door handle so I wouldn't be standing there like a loner. The door opened and I quietly walked into the house. There was no sign of anybody but I knew she had to be home. I heard rustling coming from Lilly's room. She was sitting on her bed trying to decide what to wear. She was currently in her blue smurf pj bottoms and a snowman tshirt, looking adorable as always. "Morning!' I yelled. She did a back flip and fell onto the carpet. "Omigosh do not scare me like that!" I just laughed at her reaction. "Someone has ninja skills. And sorry about that, you didn't answer your door when I knocked like a million times." She held up a purple tank top and blue jean shorts. "What do you think?" It was a simple outfit, which I liked. She didn't need to wear fancy clothing, she had natural beauty. "It's perfect for our date. Now get dressed and we shall go!" She didn't understand. "A date? Where are we going?" I used a french accent. "That is for me to know and you to find out." She laughed cutely and shoved me out of her room so she could change.
About 15 minutes later she came out looking even more gorgeous than before. I held out my arm for her to grab. "Shall we go?" She nodded and off we went. We walked for a few minutes, me with my messed up and ankle, until she realized where we were going. "Why are we going to the beach?" She asked. "Just wait and see." I made sure we went to the perfect spot and then I told her what we were doing there. "The reason that I brought here is because we are going to reinact when we first met. Yes it's cheesy, but I honestly don't care. That was one of my favorite moments ever." She looked like she was going to cry. I got out my iPhone speaker from the basket and blasted 'Say Somethin'. I told her to run half a mile from where she was and I ran half a mile the opposite way. I jogged at a nice even pace and then she came into view. I felt the same way I had when I first glanced at her. This time I held open my arms and she knocked me over once again. We just sat there for a while with the mid-afternoon wind blowing through our hair. We talked for hours about our dreams for the future, most of mine being that IM5 would be huge. She hoped to become a better singer, even though I told her she was amazing already, and she wanted to travel the world. We had a picnic with peanut butter sandwiches, string cheese and juice boxes. Before we knew it, it was my favorite time of the day, sunset.
Lilly's P.O.V.
"Look how beautiful the sky is." I said staring up at the combination of purple, pink, and yellow. "It reminds me of you. No matter where I am I will look at the sunset and think of my Lilly." The fact that he called me his, made me super happy. That was exactly what I wanted to be, his Lilly. "Do you really mean that?" His smile brightened. "Definitely." He wrapped his arms around me. He smelled like licorice, I loved it. All of a sudden he picked me up and put me over his shoulder. Then he headed towards the water. "Dalton put me down! What are you doing?" I screamed. "You want down? Ok!" He tossed me into the water. I squealed and pretended to cry. "I can't believe you would do this to me. How can you make fun of me?" His face was full of regret. "Lilly I'm so sorry, I was just joking around." I turned around and splashed his face with salty water. "Gotcha! If it wasn't for your cast, you would be soaked right now." We had a splash fight and then he walked me home. Once we got there I had an idea so I wouldn't have to say bye to him so soon. "Hey, why don't I have my mom drop you, your mom, and your sister off at the airport tomorrow?" He grinned. "She would do that? Ok great." I gave him a long hug. "Thank you for today it was so much fun." "I'm glad you enjoyed it too. See ya in the morning."He gave me the address to his hotel and got into his mom's car. ------------------------------------------------------
Dalton's P.O.V.
I woke up at 7 and I was not at all ready to leave Kauai, well Lilly specifically. I put on black basketball shorts and my black tank top. Sophie was surprisingly in a good mood. She was the only one happy to go home. I wouldn't say that I wasn't looking forward to going home at all because I did miss the guys and my bed, but it was still difficult to leave. At 7:30 Lilly's mom arrived to pick us up. My mom got shotgun and Sophie, Lilly, and I climbed into the back. Lilly didn't talk much, I knew she was sad and it mad me even more disappointed that I was going home. When we got to the airport, we all got out of the car except for Lilly's mom who waited for Lilly to say goodbye to me. I took my blue suitcase and my guitar in its case, from the trunk. We all walked into the American Airline doors. We printed our boarding passes and dropped off our luggage. I slowly walked up the stairs to security. I knew this was the point where Lilly and I had to say goodbye. I pulled her close to me and held her in my grasp. "Please don't forget me." She whispered in my ear. "I could never forget you." I replied. "Remember the sunset." She said. Ten minutes must have passed and then she let me go. "Goodbye Dalton." Seeing her face right then gave me the worst feelings. "Bye Lilly." I dragged myself to security. When I got through, I turned around. She had just started to walk away. "Bye Lilliana!!" I shouted. She turned around and I saw the tears dripping down her face. She blew me a kiss and I caught it. Then she moved down the stairs with the speed of a tortoise. 'She was really gone' I thought. 'But not forever.'
