Time skip to Christmas break

Applejack POV

I was at the barn with dad putting all the bucked apples in there "so AJ how are you and Rarity?" He asked carrying some apples "ah think we are fine later we have to play a game of soccer against crystal prep high me rainbow and pinkie it's a friendly game ya can come over dad it would be awesome!" I said "i remember when i was your age me and Rango dash would go around challenging everyone and any school on our wake but now we just don't cause it's just too easy winning so we leave this to you and rainbow to do" he said ruffling my hair "well here we are done let's tell Granny and go home" he said i nodded and we went home i got dressed for the game later so i went to campus and saw rainbow and pinkie "heya!!! Look it's AJ!!!" Pinkie said i ran over them and greeted them "so were is crystal prep?" I asked "late" rainbow said "that sucks i wanted to play now and win!" Pinkie said inpatient we waited and saw our girlfriends coming toward us the thing is that rarity was bringing a lot of bags "what are those for Rares?" I asked "oh Jackie this is for you rainbow and pinkie i sowed for you girls some outfits" she said exited but me and rainbow were not really happy "she's your girl tell her something" rainbow whispered to me "um Rares we won't be needing outfits so don't worry we are fine" i said "oh you can still wear it i mean i did do it to make you girls look good during the game" she said still smiling "Rares we don't need'em" i said "don't me a cry baby and try it you will love it" she said "rarity we are playing we are not going to show off our outfits" i said a little angry "Applejack she made the outfit for you the least you can do is wear it" twilight said angry "ah will not and that's final." I said "oh look crystal prep is here they are getting in place let's go girls" pinkie said me and rainbow nodded and went on the field pinkie was the goalkeeper me defensor and rainbow was in the Middle with the ball i looked over the benches were the girls were sitting and saw rarity sad with fluttershy and twilight comforting her i rolled my eyes and turned my attention toward the game they are just outfits why would she be sad over them and besides we are not playing dress up here u thought we played and won 5-3 "that was awesome right girls?" Rainbow said we nodded and went over the girls " Applejack can we talk?" Rarity asked i nodded and we went away from the girls "so what did ya want to talk about Rares?" I asked "why didn't you want to wear the outfit i made? Are you embarrassed?" She asked sad "what?! No never it's just....why on earth would ah wear an outfit if ah have to play ball? It makes no sense to meh" i said "you're heartless....." She said crying a little "i made it for you and the only thing you had to do  wear it nothing much!" She said "now hold up right there ya're telling meh that ah am heartless if ah don't wear your stupid outfit? Seriously?" I asked so didn't answer "no way you're angry cause I'm not playing dress up? Ya can't be serious!" I snapped "the outfits i make are not stupid you're the stupid one Applejack heartless and you don't have taste in clothes !!" She yelled "you're such a drama queen Rarity get over it already they are just just clothes jeez!!" I said "i hate you" she said "ya hate me for what? An outfit? Unbelievable!!! THIS IS STUPID!" i yelled "yes you are right Applejack this relationship is indeed stupid......it's better if we take a break from it..." She said i didn't say anything i was speechless she broke up with me because of some stupid outfit that at the end would have got dirty and wasted....ridiculous "ya know what? Ah couldn't have said it better......it's over rarity....over!" I said she burst out in tears and ran back to the others i walked back to the others "what did you do to her?" Twilight asked "nothing.... She broke up with me and I'm fine with it what's wrong with that she said she wanted a break" i said angry "oh my....." Fluttershy said "......I'm going home bye..." I said walking back home and it started raining just great!!! I reached my house and entered seeing mum and dad on the couch watching TV "hey sweetie how was the game?" Mum asked ".....fine we won..." I said walking toward the stairs "call your sister to dinner please" she said "I'm not hungry " i said i walked up to Applebloom's  room i opened the door and saw her kissing her girlfriend Diamond Tiara i cleared my throat "oh...hi Applejack..." Diamond Tiara said shifting away from Applebloom "AJ what is it?" She asked "dinner is ready so go down" i said "next time knock" she said i smiled a little and nodded i went to my room and placed my hat on my desk grabbed a picture if me and Rarity kissing under a three i started crying and ended up crying myself to sleep

Rarity POV

I reached my house drenched and an emotional mess how could i have broken up with Applejack just because an outfit i entered the house and saw mum she saw me and walked over me "what happened?" She asked i stayed quiet for a couple of seconds and bursted in tears and i hugged mum "Rarity tell me what happened why are you crying?" She asked hugging me tighter"a-applejack and i are over!!" I said crying "don't worry she wasn't the right one but next time i see her she will get what she deserves she promised to never hurt you but here you are crying I'll make her pay" she said it's all my fault
