[A/N: Okay, warning: it's kind of sad and there's an almost anxiety attack kind of so yeah. It gets kind of sad. If you don't read it, I totally understand

BUT IT ENDS HAPPY SO YEAH]

3 years later

"So do you have any girlfriends?" The host asks.

Here they go again. Jungkook sighs. He knows they want something interesting, but couldn't they ask about their music instead of their personal lives?

He hears Namjoon translate what the other members are saying, something about being too dedicated to their work to focus on dating.

Jungkook glances over to all the camera men and backstage workers when he spots her. She has her little clipboard in hand and is scribbling down a couple things here and there, occasionally looking back up at the group.

"Our Jungkookie is so cute! He's all grown up and mature, our fans keep swooning over him!" Hoseok points at the maknae. Nana glances up, making brief eye contact with Jungkook, before Jungkook breaks it to focus back on the interview.

"He's the heartbreaker of the group," He hears Namjoon speak in English.

"Ahh, so he gets all the ladies, right?" The interviewer asks.

"Our fans are our girlfriends," Jungkook speaks up. Some of the members coo, some of the members cringe at his cheesy response.

He glances over to Nana, she avoids eye contact with him and moves over to go check on something else. Jungkook slumps slightly in his seat and withdrawals himself from the interview, hoping they don't aim anymore questions at him.

It goes on for another agonizing hour before the shooting ends. Jungkook is grateful, he truly is. They've come so far as a group, interviewing with popular English show hosts, gaining huge popularity in the states, winning a BBMA, but it all came at a price.

A couple months ago, Nana decided that they needed to break up. She didn't want their relationship and his career to interfere as they were gaining popularity fast worldwide.

"Nana seriously, how many times do I have to say this? I don't care about my career. I only care about you. Please," Jungkook begs, trying to force his hands to stop trembling and the tears from falling down his face.

"Kook, it's not like it was before. You're insanely huge sensations. I just. I don't want to hold you back from anything," Nana bites her lip. "I'm sorry, Kook." She slips her hand out from his and leaves his room, closing the door behind her softly.

She spots the rest of BTS standing quietly outside their maknae's door, their faces understanding, yet sympathetic. She doesn't look at them, but nods her head and leaves their house.

The memory is imprinted inside Jungkook's head. He doesn't process the interview has ended until Jimin is nudging him up and out of the seat to stand up and thank the hosts for inviting them on.

Back at the hotel, he lays in bed, still wearing the same clothes he'd worn to their interview. "We're going out to eat, if you'd like to come," Jimin softly says, not expecting an answer in return. Even so, he sighs sadly before leaving quietly.

"He's not coming," Jimin says to his members. They all exchange glances among themselves. It's been almost four months since they'd split up, but Kook is still depressed. He's good at not showing it on stage, but the moment he steps off and back stage, he collapses, the stress and emotions getting to him. It worried everyone when it first happened. They immediately rushed him back into their waiting room and called for some medics to check up on him.
