Chapter 13
They arrived at the beach around 10:00. It took forever to find a parking spot. But Jonah was able to find some surfers who were leaving and were willing to give Jonah their spot.
Rebecca was the first one out of the car. She grabbed her surfboard off the roof. "Dani lets go!" Rebecca yelled already running towards the sand.
She put down her towel and board in the warm sand. Daniel and the rest of the guys were still unloading the car. Rebecca sighed and ran back to help.Rebecca pulled out her wetsuit and started to put it on.
"Rebecca wait for me!" Daniel said just starting to put his wetsuit on.
Rebecca ignored him and ran into the water. She dove down into the water and let the wave roll over her.She paddled out past the break and sat on her surfboard and let the ocean sooth her.Rebecca thought about Corbyn and how confused she was. She liked Corbyn and she knew it. How could you not fall for the nerd, who loves chocolate milk and space and who would let you throw him into the pool at 2 am.
A sudden splash from Daniel broke Rebecca's train of thought. "You good B?" Daniel said concerned.
"Yeah, just thinking." Rebecca said with a sigh. "Well then, Ms. Avery you have an appointment with Dr. Daniel Seavy." Daniel said proudly.Rebecca laughed but played along. "Ok then... Dr. Seavy."
"How can I help you miss?" Daniel said Like a therapist. "I've had a lot on my mind lately." Rebecca said dramatically. "No!" Daniel said with an equal amount of dramaticness.
The both started cracking up laughing. "No really B, what's on your mind?"
"Daniel what I am about to tell you is TOP SECRET. You cannot say a word to anyone, ESPECIALLY Jack." Rebecca made Daniel promise to buy her ice cream if she told him. Rebecca couldn't say no to ice cream.
" I'll tell you the situation, but not the person ok?" Daniel rolled his eyes but nodded.
"Ok so, I like this person, and I think they like me too. And the other day," Rebecca took a deep breath. "This person kissed me. But then this happened..."
FLASHBACK TO LAST NIGHT
"I'm kissing Corbyn Besson. Thousands of girls would kill for this. Why me?" Where the thoughts running through Rebecca's mind.
When Corbyn broke the kiss, Rebecca was still in shock. Corbyn gave a small smile and was blushing a little.
"Corbyn? Rebecca?!" Jack called from inside the house. Rebecca and Corbyn jumped apart from each other.
Rebecca started blushing furiously. "Out here Jack!" Rebecca called back to him. "Why are you outside, it's 2am!" Jack said.
Jack then got a better look at Corbyn. "Did you get pushed into the pool?"
Corbyn looked down sheepishly, "Maybe." Jack just laughed and went back inside to grab Corbyn a towel.The second Jack was gone, she found herself in Corbyns arms again. "Please don't tell Jack." He pleaded.
"Tell Jack what?" Rebecca said innocently. "That I did this." He leaned down and kissed her again. Rebecca smiled up at those beautiful blue eyes.
There was suddenly something different in Corbyn's eyes, he let go of Rebecca and ran his hand through his hair.
He didn't say anything and walked over to Jack and grabbed the towel, leaving Rebecca wondering what the heck just happened.
