Achilles Heel

We had an exam the next day and every peeps who didn't study had a hard time on answering it. Haha!

"Psst..." I called Lucy who's busy answering her test.

She lazily turned her head to me and gave me a 'what-do-you-want-better-it-to-be-important-or-else-you-are-dead' look.

I gave her a peace sign, "Wanna hang out?"

She shook her head, "I can't or else, I'm so dead."

I sighed loudly, the teacher glance at me fixing her glasses while I just shrugged.

It was lunch and Lucy's not here. I'm watching carefully around the place if ever Gray's head would suddenly pop out. And good thing it didn't

What he said the other day gave me goosebumps, literally.

I quickly ate my cake and preparing to walk out the cafeteria.

School started earlier this year than before, still don't know why.

I heard that it was Jellal's birthday and he invited us all to his place. And probably there will be a party. I'm not an anti social but I don't want the crowd for now but I couldn't say no cause Lucy's going, she said, so as Erza (our class president) So I said yes.

And now here I am, looking at myself in the mirror wondering if I look great or not, cause... Ughh, nevermind.

I'm so sure Gray's there.

Just tryna look good, okay? Not for him.

I was wearing a black dress and black flats. Its not a formal gathering but I want to look good.

Holding my clutch at my right hand I entered the place with sophistication and poise. Everyone was staring at me with a wine bottles on their hands. A waiter went close to me and handed me a drink, I accepted it and sipped a little, eyeing the place around.

"She's so elegant."

"Uhm, like she's at the wrong place, this is not a formal party."

"She's classy, I like her."

I heard comments and whispers such but I didn't bother on looking back.

Now, where's Lucy!

I glance around the place and saw no track of my best friend.

I found Erza at the corner talking with our classmates.

"Have you seen Lucy?" I asked Erza.

"I didn't, but she did said she will."

I groaned knowing Lucy fucking lied.

I was about to leave the place when I hear a familiar laugh. I stopped walking and glanced back and saw Gray with a wine bottle on his left hand and his other hand was wrapped around the waist of a girl. He was grinning and laughing and flirting.

I could feel my face heat up and I glared at him.

He's a liar!

Tsk, how could he confessed his love for--

Wait, did he?

Damnit Juvia! Stop expecting things you'll end up being hurt and blaming yourself.

I opened my phone and called Lucy, cause maybe... Just freaking maybe she's here.

"The number you've dialed is busy at the moment. Please try yo--" I turned my phone off, pissed.

I'm still eyeing Gray, mad and confuse on what I am feeling.

And people might believe that this is what jealousy is, but it isn't for me.

It's fucking hatred.

How could he leave then come then go to a girl.

Is he a psycho?

"Are you alright?" a guy with a weird hairstyle waved his hands up and down in front of my face.

"Ahh... y-yeah..." I smiled and shrugged and was about to leave when he held my hand.

"Can I know your name?"

I faked smiled, knowing this guy is hitting me. I sure. I'm hella sure.

"Persephone."

Yeah right.

"Such a beautiful name. May I ask for your number, miss... Persefeni." I rolled my eyes at his pronunciation. Such disgrace.

And... my phone number? Uhm, what the hell.

"Sorry but--"

"My love, it seems like you are tired do you want to go home? Would you excuse us for a second, Bora?" Gray's eyes found mine and it was hard to understand his eyes.

"She's your girlfriend?" the Bora guy asked.

Gray nodded, not taking his eyes off me, I could feel his intimidate and cold stares.

I stared at him back trying to just... Understand. But he's so hard to read.

We were on our way out of Jellal's place and none of us were speaking. The atmosphere felt so weird.

What's wrong with me? I usually scold and shout at him but at this moment I couldn't even mutter a single word.

"Ugh... Thanks." I tried not to sound sincere. My pride is all what's left for me.

He didn't looked at me, he was just staring at the starry sky above us.

How can people be so different when were all just under the same sky?

This is just for once, I looked at him and there were sadness in his eyes. I finally saw something. It was honestly pure sadness.

Can you give me a smile, honey? It's making me wonder.

As much as I want to ask how he is.

My pride is stoping me.

I don't want to look at him again cause maybe I'll give in.

Cause I know, how much hatred towards him I gathered for two years, nothing can ever change the fact that he's still my weakness.

Not sure if I still love him, but I'm sure he's still my achilles heel.
