I have a whole body of imperfections
I have a mole on my knee
Freckles on my arms
Dark patches on my white arms
Scratch marks
A stomach that not perfectly flat
An indent in my forehead.
I wasn't born looking like a model
I wasn't born to be on the cover of a magazine.
I was born to be me
Born to look pretty in the eyes of those who love me
Not everyone but that ok.
And if others don't like how I look
Then they are the ones who are stupid
Not you for the way you were born
For the way, you were meant to look like
Because there is no one way to look to be pretty, beautiful
But I am learning to love every part of me as whole
It takes time
But I will get there one day
I may not be the tallest but am ok with that.
4'8 not going to stop me
From doing what I love
I am learning to rock who I am
Maybe being on the cover doesn't call my name
But that just means every picture the real me
Not the photoshop to look perfect kind
I am learning to love every imperfection
Every indent, mole, freckle and dark spot there is
I will get there one day
Where I love every part
But for now, I will continue to learn to love every imperfection
