the moon rose and night time approached in twilight town. the sky was a fickle, eerie mix of purple, orange and pink, and the moon was a bright, vivid yellow.
the citizens walked around happily, discussing their stories to other citizens.
it was going to be a calm night. for those, at least. a trio of three purple unfamiliar beings appeared, one looking angry at another. they appeared to be wearing witch-like hats, one hot pink striped, the other blue striped and the last yellow striped. the one with the blue striped hat's name was beldam, yellow striped marilyn and the pink striped vivian.
"where did you put it?!" beldam looked at vivian with an angry, threatening expression on her face. it seems like those two dont get along.
"you had it just five minutes ago! you told me you couldnt trust me with it, so i dont have it..." on the other hand, vivian had a worried expression on her face. marilyn, however just stood there in silence, the occasional smile once in a while.
"goddamnit, vivian! stop lying to make yourself look like a better person. your trickery isnt working, and you know it."
"yeah...sorry, sis." she looked away, embarrassed, knowing that beldam will continue on and on about this stupid thing that got lost.
"you stupid, stupid girl." she scowled, a threatening tone in her voice. "you know, i will forever wonder why i let you become a shadow siren a long while back. you're clearly not good enough to be one. even marilyn is better than you, and she doesnt even speak!"
"i know..."
"you're dumber than a doorknob. and a doorknob doesnt even do or know anything!" she paused for a quick second. "...im ashamed to be related to someone as useless, stupid, and terrible as you. come, marilyn." and with that, beldam floated away, a smile on her face as if to say 'i did that and im happy i did'. marilyn followed.

"...i didnt even do anything..." vivian stood there, taking in what beldam said.
who would have the audacity to say those sort of things? they were all false in reality, but to beldam, it was nothing but truth...for some unknown reason. vivian had never done anything wrong to her sister yet she never ever stops ridiculing and criticising her, its ridiculous!
she wanted to go back to her sisters, but she didnt know where they would be. even if she did know, beldam would either keep criticising her, or shoo her away. so, the choice of going back to them was scrapped.
just wandering the streets of twilight town was going to be enough.

the sky was a deep, dark purple. the moon was visible from most angles. vivian was practically camouflaged with the sky, she wasnt seen easily. she roamed around silently, not knowing what to do or who to go to. nobody was out, anyway.
but she heard something.
footsteps. no talking, just the wind and footsteps.
"hello?" the unknown man called out. vivian's eyes widened, and she looked around, trying to find this man. she swung around, and noticed somebody. somebody with overalls, but the colour of his shirt was unidentifiable. was it red?
he made a gesture, as if to say 'we need to fight'.
"hey- wait! i havent done anythi-"
"but arent you supposed to be a shadow siren? those are bad!"
"...i sure wish i wasnt one. heh."
the man stood there, his fight gesture slowly going away. he had a confused look on his face.
"so...youre not a shadow siren?"
"i am, but i dont want to be...talking about that, they left me here a couple hours back and i dont think i'll be able to find them again...not like i want to anyway. can i go with you, wherever youre going?"
"well, i guess so." he paused for a quick moment. "whats your name, anyway?"
"my names vivian. whats yours?"
"mario." and he smiled, showing trust.
"thank you, mario. im glad i could hopefully finally get away from my sisters...and work with someone miles better."
