You stand in the kitchen of Ed's apartment fixing him his favorite food, or at least attempting to. He was back home from tour and was working on his next album. For some reason he was super stressed out about this album. You decided you would try to help him relax by making him his favorite meal. You try following the recipe but keep messing it up. You look at the final product, that doesn't look anything like the mouth watering picture of what the dish is supposed to look like. You shrug and put it in the oven anyway. Making it in real life will never look as good as the picture. You turn on the timer and sit down. You hear the sound of a door opening and closing and look over to see your flamed hair boyfriend standing in the doorway.
"Hey sweetie." You say and kiss his cheeks. He smiles, but you can see how exhausted he is.
"How was your day?" You ask. You still feel giddy, excited to tell him that you've made him dinner.
"It's just been a really, really messed up week." Ed says exhausted. He pecks your lips and flops onto the couch.
"I made you dinner, your favorite food actually." As soon as you point it out Ed take notice to the delicious smells that fill the room. A wide smile grows on his face as the timer on the oven goes off. You scurry over to the oven and pull out the food. It still doesn't look that good but you hope it'll taste better than it looks. You smile and fill two plates with the food you made. You bring the plates to the couch were Ed is still sitting. You hand the food to him still bubbly. You grab your own and shovel a large amount into your mouth. An indescribably horrid taste fills your mouth and you quickly spit it back out. Ed stared at you laughing before he taste the food spitting it back out himself. He stares at you and burst out laughing again.
"Don't laugh at my cooking!" You say trying to be angry but end up laughing along with Ed just as hard.
"I really messed that up." You say trying to catch your breath.
"Whatever, it doesn't matter." Ed says laughing so hard he's crying.
"Let's just go to McDonald instead." You nod and the two of you head out for a romantic night at the fast food restaurant.
