I know it's been a long time since I touched this diary but I need to confess something that'll clear out all the doubts about why I'm not on wattpad that much.
ISSUE
The obvious reason is the exams are approaching and well.. I'm having a great progess with it so far and that's why part of reason i'm going on and off all the time. But most importantly, I'm not enjoying writing (especially on wattpad) that much. I do have free time; and I'm utterly disappointed at how toxic this orange app became. Trail back to the early 2016 to early 2017, the toxicness was kept at the minimum. Now, with all the glitches, bug fixes and updates that make it even worse, making me not like wattpad anymore. And nowadays, I guess it's like a trend to start hate account that target specific, well known authors for no reason???
What did they even do to you that make you burn with hatred?
Is this how you behave in real life too? Or you're just a coward hiding behind a screen, knowing no one will know your identity? Remember, this is a type of cyberbullying; this is not okay.
Don't come at me, saying, 'but it's my opinion!1!1!' Or 'this is constructive criticism!1!'
Know that, I will respect your opinion as long it doesn't degrade other people's existence, including race, religion, or their sexuality.
And know the fine line of criticism and plain hate; let's look close at the meaning, alright?
constructive criticism;
helping to improve; promoting further development or advancement
(opposed to destructive):
Hatred is when you just plain hate on someone, for their success, etc.
These experiences just make me hate wattpad more and more and i started disliking writing either. I solely came on wattpad because I want to write and make new friends and not involving in drama that makes no sense.
SOLUTION
I'm gonna be periodically be in or out, replying to messages, posting doormat chapters and so and so. And I unpublished the yoonjin book, since I'm not enjoying writing on wattpad, I decided to active more on twt and especially ao3, as I'm moving the yoonjin book onto there soon.
Of course, you can leave messages on my board as you like, but know that you'll hear me back late. I don't want to lose my real self over the internet, and having a fake persona on the internet. I want to cut back the toxicness, as much as possible. Thank you for listening to my ted talk and I'll see you next time.
