Miss me?

Long brunette hair was all Beca could see out of her half closed eyes as tender lips traveled up her neck. The shorter girl had to hold back a moan as teeth scratched along her neck. Nonetheless, when the other girl's tongue licked the bitten area, Beca's moan came out full force and her eyes shut.

When Beca's eyes reopened, red replaced brown.

A light chuckle came from the body on top of Beca's. "I still know your body so well," Chloe husked, her face buried in Beca's neck. The redhead pulled back to look in Beca's eyes. Beca saw the bright blue eyes flicker to green. Beca was just able to catch heartbreak in the green eyes before they turned back to blue.

"Say you love me," Chloe whispered, leaning closer and closer to Beca's face.

The brunette breathed heavily. "God, Chloe, I lo-"

The small brunette jolted to an upright position as she was pulled from her very vivid dream. Nightmare. Whatever it was considered.

Beca ran her good hand through her hair, closing her eyes and silently begging her heart rate to slow down. A delicate hand touched her back, causing the petite girl to jump.

"Hey, babe, relax," Kristen husked out, sleep drenching her voice. Beca nodded and closed her eyes, still tense from the dream with the added emotion of being utterly guilty.

Kristen sighed and sat up, wrapping her arms around Beca's waist. The taller girl rested her head on Beca's shoulder. "It's alright, I've got you, don't worry babe," the green eyed girl muttered, hoping her words were helping.

Beca leaned into the embrace, trying to focus on the sweet nothings coming from her girlfriend's mouth. However, the haunting red hair and blue eyes refused to be pushed away so easily. Why can't I just let you go? Beca thought harshly to herself.

Kristen's voice slowly turned into a mumble before stopping altogether and turning into a light snore. Beca turned her head slightly to see that the taller girl was, in fact, completely passed out. A smile tugged on her lips as she carefully lay back, letting Kristen lie in the bed more comfortably. Beca listened to the steady beat of her girlfriend's heart, letting it lure her back to sleep, Chloe – for the first time in the past week – forgotten.

Beca woke up restlessly later in the morning, Kristen already gone for work. The smaller girl groaned loudly, knowing her meeting with Chloe was scheduled promptly at noon that day. Her arm flailed over her eyes, her rude awakening earlier in the night flooding back into her memory.

"Why does this have to happen now?" Beca whined out. In all honesty, it was horrible timing. Beca was happy with Kristen, was currently in talks of being hired at the company after rescheduling the interview (that surprisingly went very smoothly in Beca's opinion), and had been perfectly happy with her life.

It only makes sense fate would try to destroy that serenity.

With a deep sigh, Beca rolled over to glance at the clock. 11:32 am. Dark blue eyes stared intensely at the numbers until her tired mind registered what that meant.

"Oh shit!" Beca yelled, springing out of her bed. It was a usual 25 minute drive to the Hard Rock Café on a good day, and the brunette practically screamed in frustration. As she frantically began searching her room for nice clothes, she quickly froze. I have no one to impress, Beca thought harshly to herself. Chloe could be married for all she knew. And, frankly, after their last conversation at Barden, Beca convinced herself she had no problem being as apathetic as possible.

Slowing down, the brunette tossed on, to some difficultly, a random tshirt and jeans, freshened up to a socially acceptable level, and moseyed out of her apartment, fighting the urge in the back of her mind to treat Chloe like a princess, and rush to her every need. Not anymore.
