(Warning! Gore & blood, death, insecurities.)

Do you know what happens after death?

Deceit certainly didn't. And with the growing fear that he might die every time he woke up, Deceit was almost sure that he didn't want to know. But to an extent, it made him curious.

Of course it did. Deceit was made of darkness, lies, and manipulative things. And death... Well, it was just another thing on the list of bad things he might do.

He couldn't help but feel afraid, though, like something was watching his every move as he padded silently down the corridor.

Once, there was a snake.

Roman and Virgil had kicked him out so that they could have some 'lovers time' and to be fair, he couldn't have cared less. He didn't want to see them be all icky with each other.

A snake that wondered around, slithering to where ever he pleased.

Still, it scared him. It scared him, being outside with some...monster, following him. Some deranged, crazy, lunatic killer watching his moves with a smile. Planning his trickeries and cover ups. Planning their deaths.

This snake liked to slither.

Deceit was fond of the hallway, even if it was only because it showed Thomas's achievements. He could remember seeing the others crowd around new pictures and achievements Thomas had gotten as they congratulated each other. Whenever he got one, though, they scorned him. But Patton slipped him some cake and said, "Good job, but don't do it again please."
Deceit had long stopped influencing Thomas ever since.

This snake had a friend.

But to think, Patton, his one friend in times of need (other than Virgil, but let's be fair, that was toxic from the beginning) and the only one who treated him like a human, was able to take a life so quickly? Back then, it would be unthinkable...

A dog.

But now?
It was just the terrifying truth.

A dangerous dog.

Luckily, Deceit was a liar. He found his feet leading him to the lounge, where he seemed to find Logan. Alone, without Patton. Without the killer. Despite that, it still scared him. It still scared him that he could feel a gaze penetrating his back, even if it wasn't really real.

This dog loved an owl.

He cleared his throat, and Logan looked up at him. "Yes, Deceit? How can I help you?" He sounded annoyed.

A wise, smart, factual owl.

"It's not about Patton, not at all." God, he hated how he spoke in lies. No one would ever believe it if he managed to speak in truths. They were always confused when they tried to find out what the actual truth was. Luckily, Logan was smart. Hopefully.

But, that love turned into obsession.

Logan took a moment to think about what the truth was in that sentence, before closing his book and placing it next to him. "What about Patton?" He asked.
