He was holding her hand while she was asleep, again. But this time Leon knew for sure she would wake up. Herman was standing quietly next to Leon, admiring his daughter.
Herman never thought he would end up here again, standing next to a hospital bed where the person he loves most is laying. He is just happy that Violetta isn't dying, not like Maria.
He gets tears in his eyes from the thought of Maria. He is still not fully over it and this reminded him so much of what happened back then.
"I'm going to go and buy her some flowers" Leon told Herman and stood up from the bed. He ran out of the room, wanting to be back quickly for Violetta.
Now Herman was alone with her. He sat down on the place where Leon had just been sitting. He took his hand through the soft brown hairs of his sleeping daughter. Violetta's eyelids opened slightly on which Herman could see her brown eyes.
"Hey sweety" He said and kept stroking her brown locks.
"Hey" She mumbled back, her voice sounded so weak and vulnerable. Violetta was like a diamond that could break any second.
Now there was only one thing Herman was supposed to tell her. He needed to tell her about her leg and the surgery she had.
After trying to tell her in his thoughts he finally decided to wait for Leon to come back. He just couldn't tell her alone.
"How are you feeling?" He just asked instead. Violetta lifted up her shoulders slightly.
"Tired" She whispered to her dad who gave her a warm smile. He then took her in his arms and hugged her tight.
"You'll be fine honey, I know that. You are the strongest person I know" Herman told her asuringly.
Violetta was feeling mixed. She was tired, but had no pain. But she knew something was going on. She had been awake for 3 days now and everyone who came to visit her had been acting weird, even Angie, Leon and her dad.
But she had no power in her body left to ask, so she just smiled and nodded. She then layed back in her bed again, closing her eyes.
Violetta remembered exactly what happened, every second. The moment she felt she was falling down she was so concious, she just knew what was happening and that she was falling. When her body hit the ground everything went black and from that point she doesn't remember anything anymore.
Suddenly Violetta heard a door open and heard her boyfriend breathing heavily. She opened her eyes and saw him standing there with a beautiful bouquet in his hands. The boquet was filled with pink and purple flowers, her favourites.
Leon stood there and handed her the big bouquet. "For you princess" He added to it. And then for the first time after she woke up, Leon saw those chestnut brown eyes sparkle again. She had that little light on the left side of her eye, she only had it when she was happy.
