"Birdee! Ashton's calling and wants to facetime, could you take over my register for me? Thanks!" Luke yelled at me before running back into the storage room, to where his boyfriend was; which was on his phone.Ashton was Luke's boyfriend of two years and going, their adorable yet - annoying relationship warmed my heart because their relationship was goals. But, they had to thank me for the existence of their relationship - because without me bumping into Ashton's lost brother, Lashton wouldn't have been birthed.
I rolled my eyes, closing up my register and walking to Luke's to scan the items for a middle aged woman and her daughter. And if I can remember, the little girl was asking her mom to buy ice cream. But in my opinion, I would not buy ice cream from a fucking CVS.
Scanning after scanning, I became pissed at Luke for leaving me alone at the register - with nothing to do but point the elderly to the direction of the restrooms. I just decided to close up the registers for a bit and walk around the store - just like I always did when I was bored.
Yet, I still didn't know how I wasn't fired yet.
"Let's see," I mumbled to myself, checking my messages. My mom had sent me two texts reminding me to pack for our "family" vacation in two days, to which my family was going to South Carolina to see my family that was over there.
My parents allowed me to bring Luke, because they knew that he was the only person that could convince me to do anything. Such as waking up at a reasonable time, going outside, and socializing with some people.
When I had walked passed the storage room, I carefully put my ear up against the door; technically not eavesdropping. I heard the familiar giggles from Ashton and some deep chucking from Luke, which made me smile to myself and kept walking.
"Hey you, can you help me for a second?"
