Mask Of Disguise

I look into the mirror

Seeing a mask of disguise

A smile that hides the pain

Eyes that shed no tears

Arms full of scars

Blood that continues to fall

As I drop the mask

My eyes widen in shock

The bruises that cover my body

The hurt that fills my face

Eyes filled with tears

Falling slowly down

A heart nearly broken

That feels no love at all

Friends that stay quiet

Family that seems not to care

My hand reaches down

Grabbing hold of the bottle below

Opening it without fail

Bringing it to my mouth

The pills fall down

Dropping upon my waiting throat

My hand trembles

My body falls down

My eyes start to close

My last breath reaches my lips

Goodbye forever,

A better life has now begun
