Okayyy so this probably won't be long and probably just a two parter, maybe three but it was a few ideas of how I thought Jac and Fletch might rekindle whatever it was they had going on before Jac buggered off!!

Jac Naylor opened the door of her car and stepped gracefully out in her black heels, red hair cascading down her back. She had been fearing this day for weeks, the day she had to face up to her demons. She made her way across the car park and into Wyvern reception area, heading straight for the lift. She was really hoping to be able to make it straight to her office without encountering Fletch in order to compose herself and ice queen facade. She had spend these last few weeks rebuilding her walls whilst recuperating and decided that she wouldn't let him in this time. She had come too close last time and she couldn't risk him getting in because she didn't want to hurt him. No, it's better just to steer clear, she reminded herself.

She made it to her office and closed the door, sinking into her cream coloured desk chair. She let out a sigh of relief. The door was thrust open and in walked Frieda Petrenko.

"Jac... you're back"
"You know, you have an almost intuitive grasp of the obvious"
Frieda raised an eyebrow "Does Fletch know?"
Jac looked down at her paperwork in an attempt to look too busy to talk of such things, "I haven't spoken to him"
"Jac." Frieda began "You can't leave things like this, it is killing you and I can see it is killing Fletch and God knows it is killing me watching you two dance around each other like a pair of children"
"It's none of your business" Jac replied nonchalantly
"Whatever" Frieda laughed but as she strolled out of the door, she turned around, "I'm mean it though, talk to him."

Frieda left the office and the door shut with a click. Jac put her head in her hands. Come on Naylor pull yourself together, we talked about this. She tried to tell herself.

Jac managed to get through an hour or two of catching up on the paperwork she had missed, much to her displeasure, but by lunchtime she was itching to leave her office and get her hands on an interesting case. She stood up, pushing her desk chair back with her legs and picked up the pile of completed paperwork on the end of her desk. As she approached the door, she took a deep breathe in, ready for the inevitable accidental meeting with Fletch on the ward. Such meetings would normally bring a smile to her face, on the inside of course, but today, not so much.

Her hand grasped the metal handle and swung the door open, her heels clicking on the floor as she walked towards the nurse's station.
After seeing to her first patient of the day, a 52 year old male with suspected cardiomyopathy, Jac walked back to the nurses station, dropping the notes on the surface. As she turned around to retreat back to her office, she caught Fletch walking around the corner towards her. They locked eyes. Fletcher looks shocked to see her.
"Jac." He breathes
"Hi" She responds, smiling. Although she would never admit it, she really did miss him and his pathetic wit and devilish grin.
"Urh... it's good to see you" He finally smiles back
"Yeah... look Fletch can we talk? Over a drink tonight maybe?
"Yeah course, end of the shift." He walks away and smiles, he really has missed her, though he'd never pluck up the courage to let her know that. The way she smiles when he occasionally picks the right time to be funny and the way they had come to lean on each other after everything that had happened.

Ahh sorry this wasn't a very long first chapter, as I began to write it before Jac came back I realised that now she has come back I'd better publish it!! Legit no idea when the next part will come out, I'm in the middle of my GCSEs so who knows when I'll find the time but I will try!!:)) xxx
