Keoth took a deep breath and hesitantly raised his hand to knock on Lotor's door. He started with a soft knock, getting a little lpuder each time his knuckle hit the door. He waited for a moment before he was told to come in. "You can do this," he mumbled under his breath before opening the door and getting into the large room, closing the door behind himself.

"Ah! Keith, hello. Come on in, take a sit." Lotor smiled. His smile was sickeningly sweet but also a little devilishly. The raven haired boy nodded a little as he slowly walked over to Lotor. Instead of just sitting down just somwhere he sat down right next to the man. "Did you want to talk about something?"

Keith took a moment to think befire he nodded his head. "Well, I wanted to thank you for letting Lance, Takashi and me stay at your wonderful hotel. It's very comfortable and it's good to know we're save here," he trailed off. Just as he was about to add another thing he felt Lotor's finger on his lips. He glanced down, frowning a little before looking back up. A moment of silence. Lotor suddenly patted his lap, telling Keith to sit there, without using words. Keiths gulped as he slowly climbed onto the mans lap.

Lotor sighed heavily, resting his forehead on Keith's shoulder. That was unexpected. The boy didn't know what to do. He was relieved that it turned out like that, though. He couldn't complain.

"Hug me," the long haired man mumbled. Keith nodded and wrapped his arms around him, looking around nervously. He hated touching people so much. "Do you really think this hotel is good? Pretty? Modern? Save?"

"Oh... Yes. It's extremely comfortable. Why?"

"I- My father. He has so many hotel throughoht the entire state, yet I only have three. He mocks me a lot for it. Even pushed me out of the family and called me lazy and dishonor to the family," he mumbled, placing his hands on Keith's hips. He took a deep breath before he continued. "He kept making fun of me... blogging my hotels, even. But I'll prove him wrong if he's not dead by the end of this. I'll show him that I can expand."

That was even less of what Keith had expected. He didn't really prepare to be mental support for a grown man who's a little pissed about his family. Hell, he didn't even know family drama since he never even have a real one in the first place.

"Your dad?" He tilted his head a little.

"His hotels are famous. You know, there's... Zarkon downtown."

Keith froze for a moment. The owner of those was Lotor's father? He owned that huge hotel downtown? This was getting so much more interesting. He actually spent a few nights at that hotel when he visited friends. He quickly checked the clock in the room, patting Lotor's back.

"I'm sure he just wants you to be successful. He wants the best for you," Keith started. "Don't be mad at your old man. He's probably proud of you, but just doesn't wanna show it so you won't become a pussy."

Keith regretted using that word, but Lotor actually laughed a little. It was a bitter laugh, but it was better than what he expected. Oh god, that poor boy was proven wrong a lot in those few minutes he spent in the room.

Another quick glance at the clock. Just a few more minutes and Keith could leave this big, strange building. "He's even more disappointed because I never married the woman he wanted me to marry." Lotor shrugged a little. Arranged marriages were still a thing? Oh wow.

Keith hummed quietly in response, not really knowing what to say. After all, these were all things he obviously never experienced. Not even his friends did. "Could be worse though, right? I mean, you could be an orphan and...not successful," the younger boy mumbled after a moment. "You coul be working at a god damn Starbucks during the day and at a movie theater at night." Lotor raised a brow at that.

"That was awfully specific, don't you think so? Almost as if that's what your life used to look like?"

Damn it. Keith shouldn't have said that. Of course Lotor would be smart enough to know its way too specific to just be a normal person's life. He wanted to avoid being asked about stuff like that too.

A moment of silence. Keith slowly pushed Lotor's arms away from him so he could get up. "I'll... I'll go to my room." He cleared his throatand quickly left the room before any questions could be asked about his situation. Instead of going to his room, he quickly made his way outside to where Takashi was guarding the door.

It seemed like they had everything packed up. Just as Keith was about to walk past the older man he looked back once more. "He's gonna be pretty lonely," he mumbled to himself, sighing heavily. Lotor was pretty different from what Keith thought, but he didn't wanna run into him ever again. But they got away way too easily for his taste. They might meet up again sooner or later.

The sky had a bright orange color when Keith woke up in the car. He couldn't really tell if the sun was rising or setting, but he enjoyed the view for a moment before glancing to the backseat. Lance was fast asleep. Just like always. A quick glance to the side. Takashi was awake. Keith had never seen the man sleep. He wasn't sure whether it wascreepy or concerning, it definitely wasn't healthy though.

"Where are we?" Keith asked before yawning. Takashi thought for a moment, looking for some street signs. "I know we crossed a state border, but I don't remember which one." He laughed a little, quietly. Great. Again, they were somewhere in the middle of no where without even knowing if there would be any towns or villages nearby.
