Xian stood in her father's throne room, by the large throne and Ikan snorted and looked down at her.

Xian's delicate features were hidden by the cloak, but the slight shaking was obvious to his sharp eyes.

"You reek of humans," he hissed standing up slowly.

Xian tried not to show the absolute terror dawning in her face as she looked up at him. "What do you mean Father?"

Ikan snarled softly and walked towards her. "You snuck out again!"

"F-Father please," she stuttered backing up, her back meeting the black marble wall. "I didn't mean to! In your illusion practice I accidentally ran out there, I'm sorry, I came back as soon as possible!"

"They saw you didn't they?!" He snarled in fury.

Xian nodded nervously cowering against the wall. "I'm sorry father!"

He slapped her, the girl gasping the force of it making her fail body fall to the floor.

"Don't you dare run to them again, you hear me?" He yelled.

"Yes father," she whimpered crawling away from him. "Sorry Father."

Ikan didn't relent, his shoe connecting with her ribs, making her gasp in pain, not daring to cry out. "Father, please! No more!"

Ikan growled and bent down. "What was that?!"

She froze, her breath nearly caught in her throat, Xian knew that those fateful words were dangerous, it could end out with her nearly bleeding to death.

"I think, daughter," he growled grabbing her by the throat. "The humans have rubbed off on you."

Xian choked clawing weakly at his hand, nodding in agreement knowing what was coming next as he murmured. "I need practice daughter."

She wanted to die, she wanted to toss herself off the edge of the volcano, finish her worthless life.

That's when Xian felt herself start to circle down in the hell hole of fear and terror, and in the three days she spent there, Xian knew one thing as she screamed and tossed and turned to break free of this ugly terror that drove to send her over the edge.

That she couldn't live much longer in the shadow of her father's cruel hand.

This time it was snakes wrapping their long thin bodies around her, their skins making her shiver and squirm, some biting her, injecting their poisons into her, she couldn't breath, she couldn't scream, choking on her own terror, her heart racing violently, until she woke, on her bedroom floor.

Xian escaped the volcano again, making for human civilisation, she had to get away from him, even if it meant through death, she had gotten herself a fresh robe, the long black satin material hiding her body from sight, and was light enough not to touch to heavily on the fresh ones, which stung with each movement.

You saw her and she saw you, but she just walked past, bowing her head.

You?
