daniel pulls back his arm once the small girl gets him outside. her face was washed over with anger and sadness and stress and...
she takes a deep breath before opening her eyes and calming watching the boy with his arms crossed. he huffs and doesn't make eye contact.
"your studio? daniel, i don't care if you don't like him for your own reasons, but keep that outside of our work."
he shakes his head and refuses to look the girl in the eyes. he didn't want to lose his composure.
"daniel james seavey!" she finally yells making him snap hi focus to her. her cheeks flared up and she clenches her jaw.
neither of them speak for a moment, just stare. they stare and slowly break down. indie is brought back to normal colour and daniel seems less tense.
"why?" she whispers, her voice cracking as she holds back threatening tears.
he opens his mouth, but closes it again with a loss of words. his eyes gloss over and he prays to not let the tears flow.
be strong.
but neither can. at the same time, tears trickle down their olive cheeks and drip off their chins.
he can't help it anymore he falls into her arms and the two cry together. they had no reason to cry, it just felt right.
"i couldn't, indigo, i couldn't," he sniffles as he bends down to hold her. "i can stand just being your friend. i can't stand watching as you laugh with them, yet can't even look at me. indie, i miss you."
she blinks, the sudden words hitting her like a school bus late to pick up the kids. it crashes into her, yet doesn't seem to stop. she didn't know how to feel.
happy? sad? mad?
her eyes trail up to meet his peculiar celestite eyes are already looking at her. their breathing seemed so close. she could feel his warm oxygen hitting her cheek.
she opens her mouth to speak, but something stops her.
something unexpected.
