Imagine: Elijah Behind the Red Door

Imagine: being Tatia's best friend and Elijah's lover. You are with her when she discovers Klaus had killed six villagers. When Elijah appeared he killed both you and Tatia. Years later Ester brings you back to life along with Kol and Finn in hopes for Elijah to agree to become mortal.

A/N: yes, I know this gets rid of Elijah and Elena's arch in TVD but get over it.

"This changes nothing."

You and Tatia are walking through the forest and you hear Elijah's voice. Tatia accidentally steps on a twig.Elijah looks up from his and Niklaus's embrace. His eyes meet yours as you and Tatia step out from behind the tree. There are corpses littered about the forest floor. Niklaus is covered in blood and Elijah has his hand to Niklaus's face as though comforting him for this atrocity. The blood drains from Elijah's face as he makes eye contact with you before you dash off terrified.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N)!" Elijah calls running after you. You and Tatia grasp hands running faster. "Tatia! Tatia!" You squeeze Tatia's hand even tighter. "Wait! Wait!" Before either of you could get much further Tatia trips and falls on a branch bringing both of you crashing to the ground.

You get up first and glare at Elijah. His brother killed six villagers, Elijah could have helped. "Stay away from me." Your words are tinted with venom as you try to come to terms with the monster you love.

"I won't hurt you." Elijah says softly, his hands at his side attempting to show his surrender.

"What have you become?" Your voice cracks at the end.

Elijah attempts to step closer to you and you back up in response. His hands still out at the side he responds, "I'm what I've always been. I'm the one who loves you." Your heart breaks at that. You love a monster and the monster loves you right back. Elijah's voice comes out in pants and you look at him hurt.

"Your mother asked for my blood." You tell Elijah. "She said nothing of the dark magic that would turn you into a monster." Rage begins to fill your body and your face turns into a scowl.

Tatia is beginning to crawl further away from Elijah as well. She is too terrified to stand up herself.

"Look at me," Elijah begs stepping closer to the both of you. "I'm not a monst--" Elijah's words become cut off. He swallow harshly. Suddenly his eyes are drawn to your hand. There is a massive gash on your right palm from the fall. Blood and skin spew onto the ground.

Elijah's eyes grow red and black blood in the veins surrounding his eyes rush up. His teeth elongate into fangs. He takes a deep breath and makes eye contact with you once more. "(Y/N)," Elijah's voice is a whisper now.

"No!" You walk up and slap the monster. Tatia takes this time to stand up and begin to flee.

"I said I will not hurt you. I don't want to." The veins around his eyes go black again sending up something as his eyes turn red once more. His teeth are fangs again. The man you love is swallowed by the beast in front of your very eyes.

"Elijah?" You ask hoping he is still there.

"Run."

You gasp and without a second thought begin running to Tatia. Tatia was also injured and you caught up to her quickly. You grab her hand and drag her along with you. Something grabs at your dress and rips you back. Tatia tumbles to the ground as you are swung into the arms of your lover. "No!" You scream out not wanting to die--not wanting Elijah to truly be this monster.

Elijah is gone as his mouth descends upon your neck.Fighting against him became useless as slowly your energy drained from your body. Finishing you off Elijah descend upon Tatia your best friend and your sister. "Elijah..." His name comes out as a prayer before everything fades.
