My Little Koneko-chan (Kisshu and Ichigo Fanfic)

Chapter 21

Ichigo's POV:

My hand still intertwined with Kisshu's, we race down back familiar hallways. I try my best to lead him back to the prisons as that is where Kuro is most likely.

We finally reach the area where the cells are located, but we take no step further as we here someone whistling.

"Well... well... well..." I know this familiar mocking voice.

Fugi advances out of the darkness allowing us to see him. He stared intently at us especially at Kisshu to intimidate him.

"I guess Prince Charming is here to save you," he squeals while clapping his hands together. "It's a shame that there are no happy endings in reality," Fugi's voice deepens threateningly as he pounced with a dagger in his hands at Kisshu and I. Kisshu throws me back and I land on my back while sliding until I hit the wall.

Kisshu pulls his two dragon swords and blocks Fugi's attack. I run my now sore back as I stand up. I notice the glisten of the keys around Fugi's belt. While Fugi is distracted with Kisshu, I run and yank the keys from him.

Startled by the sudden pull from his keys as the band from his belt breaks. The keys are now free and in my hands.

"YOU BITCH!" Fugi yells. I start to back away. Fugi gets ready to pounce at me, but Kisshu steps in between Fugi and I.

I turn around and run as fast as I can away from them. It doesn't take long to find Kuro as he is the only prisoner to be seen.

He looks up at me. The emptiness in his eyes fade as he sees me. Hope. Hope is in his eyes. I smile at him and begin to try the first key. "We will get you outta here," I reassured him, but suddenly when I look at Kuro the emptiness in his eyes have returned as he stares behind me.

Fear.

"Ich-" Kuro begins, but I turn around in a flash and one-handed cart-wheel out of the way as Ren swings his sword down at me.

I threw the keys at Kuro and shouted at home to let himself out while I deal with this mongrel. He obeys.

My strength feels restored after seeing Kisshu and I'm more confident that I can turn into my Mew Mew form.

"-METAMORPHOSIS!" I call out as I feel my body changing. A pink flash of light crosses my vision.

I did it!

"Ohhh.. you think I'm scared now," Re torments, "little girl, I'm just getting started!" Ren lashes toward me, but I block his sword and spin around knocking him in the side. He grunts and his eye shoot daggers at me.

Probably the only hint he can hit me with.

I smirk. This time I lash at him, but he managed to flip over me.

"Ichigo!! These keys.." Kuro pants, "They aren't the... right... right ones!" SERIOUSLY...

This time Ren smirks at me as he jungles a new set of keys in front of my eyes. This time I shoot daggers at home with my eyes.

All of a sudden I hear Kisshu cry out in pain. I quickly turn around taking my attention off Ren for a few seconds. Ren quickly takes advantage as he jumps on me. Trapping my body under his arms. I kick and fly my legs in the air, only managing to push Ren against Kuro's cell.

Ren slowly lifts his sword to my neck. Taunting me with it. My eyes grow wide and I realize that this is it... I'm gonna die this time... never gonna see Kisshu again...

"I don't care what Deep Blue says about keeping you alive. I don't care about Earth one bit. I only care about taking revenge on the humans for my people. One of dumb rockets that you sent into space collided with a asteroid, sending it out of orbit and colliding into our planet. Only a few escaped because of how much time we had left before impact. It's all your humans fault," Rena body shaked with anger. "Say goodbye to this world, Little Kitten."

I cringed my eyes shut waiting for my head to roll to the ground, but my head stayed attached to my neck. I felt Ren's body get heavy against my body and the warm sensation of liquid dripping onto my neck. The sword clattered to the ground as Ren's arms released me from captivity. I stumbled away and turned around.

I instantly regret it.

Kuro holds Rens body up by the collar while holding one of the sharp, now bloody keys in the other. Ren's throat is oozing dark blue blood. Kuro sobs as tears rapidly drop off his face. His sobbing his louder. He drops Ren and the keys with a loud thunk and clink of keys. The whole hallway is silent. I can't even hear Kisshu and Fugi fighting anymore. As I stare shocked at Ren's dead body and Kuro's sobbing face.

Kuro sobbed, "Goodbye Brother..."
