I haven't seen or spoken to Patrick since I met his lovely wife about a week ago. He sends me a tex everyday hoping to talk to me. I'm not bothered by the wife, I'm just bothered that he lied and made me the other man without knowing. Honestly, I don't know how to handle the situation and without Joe, I don't have any friends to talk to.

Which leads into Joe. I really hurt Joe and I didn't care at all, and now I do care and feel bad about it. I was so absorbed by Patrick, a liar, that I lost the only friend I actually had. This all being though about, I decided it was time to call Joe and apologize.

"Hello?" How answered much to my surprise.

"Hey, Joe. It's me."

"What do you want?" Joe asked.

"I wanted to apologize... what I did was wrong, and it was shitty of me, and I just really want my friend back..."

"Its alright man.. none of it would have happened if it didn't force you on that date with me." He admitted.

"So we're cool?"

"Yeah, we are."

"Awesome, I was also wondering if you wanted to go out for a drink? I kinda fucked up and I just need somebody to talk to."

"Of course! The usual place?" Joe asked.

"Yeah. I'll see you soon man." I said before hanging up.

And pretty soon, I was pulling up to park my car to go to the bar. I parked a few blocks away because I didn't want to pay at a meter. The bar is on the edge of downtown and we call it the usual place because it doesn't even have a name. It's too fancy to need one, it just has a neon sign of a giant martini. Joe and I like to put on blazers and go look at all dressed up business men after they get off of work.

I walked in and found Joe already at the bar who saved a spot for me.

"Hey Joe!" I said and threw my arms in the air.

"Hey Pete." And stood up and gave me a light hug. "Lets not do something that dumb again." He said with a smile before sitting back down.

"Agreed." I said taking my dear next to him. "Seem any hot ones tonight?" I asked.

"Not yet. But the night is still young." He said looking around.

"What can I get for you, Pete?" I turned around to see my favorite bartender, Gerard.

"Hey G-man!!! I'll have a martini with a vodka chaser."

"Are you sure? That's intense."

"Yeah I'm sure. Joe is driving me home, right Joe?"

"No." Joe said with his back turned to me grazing the crowd for men.

"He's just kidding. Hit me with it Gee."

"No I'm not." Joe said. Gee served me with my drinks and I gave him a tip for thanks.

"So what is it you want to talk about?" Joe asked.

"Well. Remember that guy I was making out with in the bathroom?"

"How could I forget?" He joked.

"Well, it was going good until I found out that he had a wife... when she walked in on me with his dick in my mouth."

"Uhm... have you talked to him since? How long ago was it?"

"It was a week ago and we haven't talked. But I want to. I just don't know what to do. If he lied about this, what else could he be lying about?"
