Clint's POV
Pietro is coming. That is all that was racing through my mind as I rushed to find Nat. She needs to know, and then I need to tell everyone.
"Clint! Why the hell are you running so fast?" Steve called out as I zoomed past, almost knocking him on his ass. I quickly called out an apology, not stopping to speak with him.
I found Nat after searching up and down the hallways for ten minutes. She was sitting on a couch, upside down, talking to Bruce and Tony about some chemical they used on her in Russia.
"Nat, I think I need to tell everyone, now," I said, throwing her out of her conversation.
She quickly scrambled up, hitting her arm in the process. She muttered obscenities, rubbing her arm and walking over. "What do you mean?" She asked, glancing at Tony and Bruce's confused stares.
"Pietro and his sister are coming, tonight, they're getting here tomorrow," I informed her, using a low tone to hide it from the others.
Her eyes widened in surprise. Nat smacked my arm and pulled me further away. "You need to tell everyone!" She hissed, glaring at me. She hates it when I keep secrets from people.
I sighed and nodded, running my hand through my hair. "I know, get Tony to call a meeting, I need to get my thoughts together," I said, pinching the bridge of my nose. She nodded and went over to Tony.
Sooner than I thought, we were all standing around each other, everyone passing around confused looks. "Okay guys, I have to tell you about something that has been going on for about two weeks," I started off, everyone's attention snapping towards me.
I took in a deep breath and looked at Nat, silently gaining confidence from her look. "I've been having these dreams, I see a man running for his life, but recently I've been able to communicate with him, we've gotten to know each other, and we've decided that his sister and him should come to New York so we can figure out what these dreams mean," I said, waiting for everyone to blow up.
"You never told us you were having these dreams, why?" Bruce started off, his scientist look draining out onto his face. I saw that question coming.
I nodded. "I didn't know if I should, so I decided to keep them to myself to figure out what was happening," I explained. Nat shook her head, confused that I left her out of it.
"Well, when are they coming?" Steve asked, stepping closer to me.
I cleared my throat, all of the attention was starting to get to me. "They're leaving tonight and arriving sometime tomorrow, I'm going to meet them at the airport," I said, not knowing when I decided that information.
Everyone nodded, instantly talking amongst themselves. "Clint, we aren't going to turn them away, but were going to send someone with you to get them, since there are two of them," Tony said, looking at everyone.
I nodded, grateful that they were going to allow them to stay. "You can pick someone as long as you run it by me, but please tell us if anything unusual happens from now on, that goes out to all of you," Tony warned, giving a pointed look to whoever saw him.
We all nodded and continued on our ways. Everyone was getting back to their jobs, but I needed to decide who to bring. "Nat, I need to decide between you or Steve," I said, calling her over.
She gave me a confused look. "Why Steve?" She asked, a hint of jealousy lacing her tone. It's no secret that Nat and I are best friends, we were both trained to be assassins, which makes us closer than everyone else.
"He is the expert behind any weird stuff, he was asleep for 70 years Nat," I pointed out, laughing.
She nodded, a smile dotting her face. "I'll talk to Stark, maybe he can let Steve come along too," She said, walking away.
I went to the lab downstairs to see how Bruce was doing with my new arrows. "Hey Bruce, how's it going?" I asked, walking beside him. He smiled, I forgot that he loved it when people were interested in his work.
"Well, your arrows are going to be great! I added this chemical that explodes when it's hit by a certain speed, so once we figure out what that speed is, you can blow stuff up," He said, showing me the paper. I stared at it, confusion going through my mind.
I nodded, sliding the paper back towards him. "That's nice, but I meant how's it going with you, Stark still annoying as ever?" I asked, laughing.
Bruce laughed and nodded, picking up an arrow. "Come with me, you're going to practice with these and we can talk," He said, grabbing a few arrows.
I followed him to the archery station they set up, deep under the tower to protect people. I pulled out my bow and loaded it up, aiming at the target. I remembered what Bruce said about a certain speed, so I pulled the string back as far as it could go and released. It hit the target, but didn't explode.
"That was pretty fast, let me get Tony's speed tracker, and I'm alright, thank you," He said, answering my earlier question. Bruce walked out of the station, going to get the tracker. Today is going to be the longest day of my life.
*Time Skip - Next Morning*
"Clint! Wake up, we leave soon," Nat said, shaking me awake. Steve was standing by the door, looking at me in amusement.
I looked around, confused. "Something isn't right," I stated, standing.
Nat and Steve shared a look of confusion. "What happened?" Steve asked, walking closer.
"I didn't have a dream last night, I don't know what that means," I said, suddenly worried about the family traveling to see us.
Nat and Steve walked over, sitting on my bed. "Believe me, everything is okay, they probably didn't rest because of nerves," Nat reassured me, smiling at me.
They stood up, leaving me so I could get ready. As I was getting ready, I couldn't help but to worry about Pietro and Wanda. Why didn't I have a dream last night? Maybe Nat was right, they probably didn't sleep because of nerves. That doesn't sound like Pietro though.
I sighed and went put to find Steve and Nat, finding them talking to a very tired Tony. "Morning Clint," Tony said grumpily, nursing a mug of coffee. I nodded my head in acknowledgement and walked over to my friends.
"Are you ready to go?" Steve asked, using his "official business" tone. I nodded, taking in a deep breath. We're going to get them.
A/N: Hello! I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
Let me clear something up: This book will move faster than normal books do. Mainly because I'm impatient, but because that's just how this book is gonna go.
What do you guys think about Clint not having any dream about Pietro? Do you think it'll be an issue, or is it just something that happened? Hehe...
Vote, comment, and give me some feedback! I really want to hear how you guys think I could improve this story.
I love you all!! Thanks for reading.
