Chapter1

"Rae?" 

Its beautiful, everything is beautiful. The view is amazing. I can see the wind blowing and dancing around with the trees but I cant feel it.

"Raehyun?" Someone is calling me. "Rae?!" But who? "Raehyun!" I cant see it. Its like it was singing my name very beautifully. "KIM RAEHYUN!!" Okay that didn't sound beautiful.

"AHHH!" 

"Rae, if you don't wake up right now, I'm gonna bring a bucket of water." My mom's voice always seems irritating. I was in the middle of my beautiful dream!

"What for?" Why the hell would she bring a bucket of water? She looks at me in a 'you wanna know?' look. Okay I get what she means. "Don't answer that."

"Hurry up get ready, now you don't want to be late for your first day of school." I cringed at the way she said it. She was acting like those moms on TV when they wake up their children.

"Yay, I'm so exited, can't you tell?" I said sarcastically.

Honestly I hate this. We (My mom and I) had to move to another city just because of her job. We moved from Busan to Seoul and that didn't benefit me at all. I lost everything...My friends, my life and everything I've planned for. I of course can't show it. My mom had a hard time raising me all by herself and finally finding a job to keep me happy and have good education. I have to do my best at least for her, support her and show love. I don't care about my friends and plans (well I do) but I'm happy as long as she is by my side.

"ARE YOU UP?!" I hear her shouting from downstairs.

"YES!" I'm still in bed, I can't be bothered moving a muscle. 

Out of nowhere, she suddenly walks in making me jump.

"Doesn't look like it. Anyways, since its your first day at your new school, I want you to look perfect." I looked at her weirdly.

"Okay, answer this, what's the point of going to school and learning when we are gonna die in the end?" Really, going to school seemed pointless to me. She grabbed my uniform from my closet and looked at me.

"Well, we go to school to learn, get a job, get married, have children and the list continues. But the main reason why I send you to school is because I want you to get a job so you can survive on your own. You don't expect to stay with me forever do you? Should I continue?" she smiled.

"No, I think I'm fine now that I know my mother cares so much about me."

"Okay then." She threw my uniform at me.

"Wait! Is that a skirt?!!" I pointed at the most useless thing ever.

"Yes" she simply said.

"You cant be serious! You know I hate skirts and I'm not wearing that!

"But its part of the uniform."

"Is that how things work in Seoul?"

"No, I think it was only your old school that allowed girls wear pants." I couldn't believe it. I never used to wear skirts but I guess I'll give it a try.

I wore my new uniform. I looked... Okay, it didn't look too bad but the skirt was extremely short and the tie was annoying me. I never had to wear ties in my old school. To be honest my old school was really retarded. No one could get proper education going to that school. This school however is different. My mom tried really hard getting me into this school (VHigh). Apparently it was one of the best schools in Korea. I don't really think I'm ready to go to this school. Knowing that there would be a lot of rich kids made me feel uncomfortable.
