I look at the scene before me.

The first thing that comes to my mind is that who is this guy and why is he in my house. Oh and the fact that he is cooking in our kitchen laughing and talking with my mother.

"What's going on here?"  they both stop what they're doing and look at me with slightly wide eyes. I wait a little moment for an explanation. It's like the fact that mom is home doesn't even bother me, but the presence of this man does. "Am I interrupting something?"

"No! No absolutely not, I was waiting for you to get home just didn't expect you to come early." She murmured the last part. I looked at the man that didn't say a word. From what I could tell, he looked roughly about my mom's age.

"Who's this." I nod towards the guy. Mom furrowed her eyebrows, probably catching the distaste in my mouth about him. But before she could say anything, the man made his way towards me and offered his hand for me to shake which I show no interest.

"Name's Mike, I'm a friend of your mother." I knew something was off when I heard a slight hesitation in his voice.

For the past years, mom has never brought a male friend home before, so seeing this man in my house making himself comfortable is weird.

"How was your business trip?" I asked mom still feeling off about this. I may have come off rude towards this man but i don't really care at the moment.

Mom looked like she was caught a bit off guard with my question. Was she not expecting me to ask this?

"Baby look, about the business trip...you see, mike and I met-"I cut her off.

"What does this man got to with what I asked? Is he your business partner?"

"Not exactly you see." She tries to come up with words.

"See what??" I came off strong.

Mom struggled with words until Mike talked instead.

"Your mother and I are engaged."

My heart instantly stopped. Engaged? My mom came back from a business trip engaged? Wait a minute.

"Did you even go to a business trip?" I whisper to her. She doesn't reply and looks away.

How can she do this to me? How can she think that anyone could replace my dad? How could she think I would be okay with it?

Tears start to pool in my eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me? You left me here having me completely oblivious to the fact that you were with this man the whole time?"

"It's not her fault, I told her to do it." Mike defended my mom.

"What right did you have?!"

"Your mother told me how attached you were with your father. How you would never agree to this."He gestured to mom and himself. "So I suggested we leave for a while to figure things out and tell you afterwards."

To say I was taken back was an understatement. I look at my mom who said nothing this whole time. The sick feeling in me grew much more and I just couldn't handle being here.

I turned away and left the house while faintly hearing mom's voice calling after me. I started running without even knowing where. Just wanted to get away.

Gosh I feel like a hypocrite. At least I don't have to feel guilty about what I did knowing my mom did the same thing. We both have done things behind each other's backs but I just couldn't help taking the matter to the heart.

I look through my contacts and called Tae. I need him to pick me up wherever I am right now.

"Answer damn it!" I gave up calling him and looked through my contacts again. Whilst looking for Lisa's phone number I came across a familiar name.

'Yugyeom'

Yugyeom, yugyeom, where have I head that name before?

Until it hit me. Spray painting, tall and funny dude.

I really needed to get my mind off things. Even though it's been a while, he did say we could meet up someday. And I really needed a friend now so I dialed the number waiting for someone to pick up.

'Hello?'

"Hey, you mind being my company for the day?"
