Taehyung POV

'Father' is calling...

I look at my phone screen longer contemplating whether I should answer or just leave it.

I shake my head. No I have to answer. Father never calls unless it's important.

I stop before I answer.

Damn it I'll just get it over and done with it.

"Yes father?"

I put on my business voice. I forgot the last time I talked to my dad casually. It always been business between us ever since I started high school. It doesn't really bother me.

After a while he started talking.

"You lied to me" His voice was thick and full of authority. A voice I've grown familiar he uses at work when he's angry.

"I'm not following."

"Not only did you deceive me, but you also lie to your mother. I have to say, I'm very disappointed in you son."

"What are you talking about?" He found out. How the hell did he find out??

"Your engagement to the girl." I clenched my teeth.

"That girl has a name." I bit back.

"That's not important son. Not anymore. What's important now, is how you're planning on fixing your mistake. Not that there is much fixing." My father was calm. He always is. But he has a talent on sounding venomous while being calm that makes the other person shiver. I have to admit, it's hard to do.

Was I taken back?

"How did.. How did you?" I closed my eyes.

"What were you thinking? Faking your engagement until you can get what you want and then call it off? You think I'm an easy person to lie to son?" No, no I don't. "If you do, then I'm highly disappointed. I read people very well. Your girl is a very good actor I must say, but not good enough. The moment you walked in and introduced her, I was doubtful. There was no way, especially with the time you had, you could have found the perfect girl unless you were up to something."

I start to laugh.

"That's it? You're calling me now to tell me you found all this because she is too perfect? Seriously father?"

"Tsk,tsk,tks. I was only curious then, but I didn't think about it until the dinner we had."

I clenched on to the phone. Where is he going with this?

"You're very good at hiding secrets son, but not all people are like you. I found out what I needed to know from her friend."

Damn it Lisa.

I grit my teeth having nothing more to say.

I let out a sigh.

"So what now?"

There was a pause.

"You waited so long for this, guess you can wait longer." With that he hung up.

I am mad.

No, I feel hysterical. Feeling the rage flowing through me like lava. Feel it overpowering me.

I shut my eyes trying to calm down.
