The hill
Oh do I remember the hill
Our secret spot
Where we spoke about our lives
I told you everything I was bottling up inside
The moonlight touched our skin
The cornfield in front of us hid us.
No one could see us.
Train tracks planted to the left.
I remember your smile
You became my best friend that night
Until
You confessed your love to me.
I was lost.
I didn't know how to love you back
I placed you away from someone that I could love.
I couldn't love you
I don't know how to love
You're a great person
But I just can't love you
I don't mean to be a fraud.
But the feeling of being in love with someone else
Made me put you down, tucked away in the friend zone.
I remember tears in your eyes.
I apologized a million times
You just layed on the hill.
Staring at the stars.
I joined, layed next to you on the hill.
The stars where beautiful.
I remember seeing the big dipper.
You told me the sky was one thing you loved so much. And I agreed
And that's the night.
You became someone
I trust
And will never
Let go.
