Shawn
I honestly regretted what I did, I can't be acting like this around Ariana or Niall. At the end of the day this is just a bet. There's nothing more to it, but it hurt to act this way.

I left the girls to Ariana's place and headed back to my apartment. Ariana's place is honestly not very far, it's like 10 minutes away from our highschool.

On my way back, I see the small familiar figure... Camila with Nick. Yikes. I drove to them.

"Camila, get in I'll take you home", I asked while taking my sunglasses out.

"It's fine, I got it man, I'll take her", Nick replied instead.

"Did I ask you? Camila, come on in", I said

"No thanks, I'll pass", she said while holding onto nick's hand and continuing to walk.

I knew she was annoyed, with the way I acted I deserved that but watching her with that douche, didn't seem right.

I put my sunglasses back on and drove past them. Screw them, how does it matter anyway.

Camila
I waited until Shawn drove past by us and let go of Nick's hand. I don't know what got into me, i wanted to make him jealous but his expressionless reaction didn't help me. AT ALL.

Nick walked me to my apartment and we left.

I got home completed my homework and changed into a unicorn onesie and layed on my couch scrolling through Instagram. I saw Shawn's picture and clicked on his profile. I caught myself stalking him, his feed filled with pictures of him, Ariana and Niall and shirtless pictures of him. Woah, let me not. So I clicked out of Instagram.

I heard knocks on the door, I opened the door to see Shawn smiling wide. I roll my eyes and walk in.

"You look so hot right now", he said sarcastically.

"Yeah right, what do you want", I asked.

"What do you mean? I'm just here to see me beautiful neighbour", he said with an innocent smile

"Oh shut up, now tell me what you want", I chuckled.

"Come over, I'm cooking us dinner!!! I'm the best cook ever", he exclaimed.

"I'll think about it", I replied sticking my tongue out.

"You don't have to", he said grabbing my hand and taking me to his place. As he shut the door behind me he asked me to open his door for him.

"What's the code", I asked.

"Your number", he replied.

I felt my cheeks heat up and I smiled uncontrollably

He walked in to his flat, his drawings still layed there and he stood by in the kitchen cooking.

"Just so you know if you need help, I'm not here", I said while grabbing a banana from the counter and eating it.

"Thanks", he chuckled while cutting vegetables.

"Sooo, you're into drawing?", I asked while pointing at the papers that layed there and sketchbook.

"Actually, yeah sometimes when I'm feeling inspired. I also tend to draw people who really mean a lot to me", he replies.

"They're great", I smile.

I started to take embarrassing pictures of him while cooking and selfies together, I kept looking at his phone hoping that he would want to aswell but he didn't.

"I'm sorry about today", he said out of the blue.

"No worries", I replied while placing our plates at the dining table.

He served me the spaghetti he made , I took a bite. He was staring at me hoping for a good reaction.

I started to chew it. "Ehhh, it's alright... just kidding. This is pretty impressive Mendes", I said while pulling his cheeks which were now red.

We started spending a lot of time together, but our kiss was always on the back of my head and weeks passed by.

Shawn
We were having a pretty good time actually, I opened up a lot to her, I felt like I could be myself at all times and not worry about what other people thought of me when I had her around.

However, one of the days while I walked her home something strange happened.

"So, you're coming over again right", I asked Mila

A car sped up and honked at us, Camila seemed extremely afraid and jumped to the sidewalk.
"Hey dude, calm down", I yelled at the driver

"What's wrong, mila?", I then looked at her concerned

"About 6 years ago I got into a car accident, here in Toronto... I had a fight with my mom for leaving my dad for another man, when he truly loved her. It was a hit and run case, they never found the culprit", she replied while wiping her tear.

I gave her a warm hug and thought about how awfully similar the time period was when my mom got into the accident... it can't be her obviously, she couldn't even hurt a fly. I tried comforting myself and we walked back home.
