I was here
And you were there
I was average
And you were fare

I sat on my bed
You hung from a wall
I stared at your face
You looked handsome and tall

I ran my fingers across your face
You stared at me still
I grabbed the corners of the paper
You saw my eyes start to fill

I wondered if I'd ever see you in person
You kept on staring
I realised you were just a poster
You were probably so caring

I wished for you to be real
You were just on my wall
I was a human
You were a poster slim and small

I was just a fan
And you were an idol well known
I knew I'd never be noticed
Because to you I was unknown
