harper's pov

"hey emily. hey kat. hey h." brent ran up to me. "so, whats the buzz about brent?" i asked.

"you know mikey way? the kid that used to go here? his and his brother's band is gonna be back in kearny in a few weeks." brent said as he opened his phone.

"ew, not cool brent, they're like so emo." kat scoffed.

"h! will you please go to homecoming with m-" patrick popped up. "ew no! h will not go anywhere near you! YOU ARE A PERV! hmm, pervy patrick! pervy patrick! PERVY PATRICK!" emily screeched. soon the hallway started chanting pervy patrick. i sighed and rushed to calculus.

i rushed out to my car, which was just my moms old range rover. my house wasn't far from school, or new york. my destiny.

as i pulled up to my house i noticed a for sale sign on our yard.

my mom was watering our lawn and planting some flowers in the flower bed. i pulled into an open spot in the garage and got out of the car.

"hey baby. could you check on harlow and henry. they came home with fevers?" i nodded, and sighed, she didn't mention the for sale sign.

"hey harper. how was school?" my older brother hayden said as i came inside. yes, i had one of those families where each kid had the same initials.

"how many times do i have to tell you not to call me harper, it's such a stupid name." i grumbled.

"well, my friend mikey is coming into town soon and i thought you might want to see the good old uncle mikey and gerard." hayden laughed.

"nope. i have plans that night. dress fitting for home coming. noah is taking me." i glared at hayden.

"oh my gosh, it's homecoming, you should come hang out with me, at least before you move."

holy shit, we were moving.

"MOVING?" i screamed.

"chill out, henry and harlow are sleeping." i stormed upstairs to my room and slammed the door.
