a cool breeze was in the air on that saturday afternoon in ontario. it was mid-day, still somewhat warm and the sun was still out, a perfect time for a day in the park.

three stars in the netflix hit , "a series of unfortunate events"  were at a nearby park that was not very far from their set. the three girls were giggling and smiling while they sat on a picnic blanket under a tree.

" kora , pass me my sunglasses ! " malina told the girl that sat across from her on the red and white checkered picnic blanket.

kora sat up, lifting her sunglasses and placing them atop of her head, now showing her vibrant green eyes, " they aren't next to me ?? " she said in a confused tone .

malina gave the girl a confused look, " check my bag ?? "

" i'm so sad avi couldn't come. " river butted in, sighing softly.

" yeah , but he had some school to catch up on so, we gotta let her do what she needs to do ! " the long haired brunette giggled.

kora looked through malinas bag, still struggling to find her sunglasses. she dug under the books , bracelets , clothes and papers in her bag. but one specific piece of paper caught koras eyes.

" to malina , from someone who cares? " kora read aloud, now interrupting the conversation between her friends.

malina felt her cheeks heat up as she heard the words leave koras mouth, " give me that ! " she said in hopes to grab the letter away from kora.

" oooo, is that a lOVE LETTER ? " river asked in a teasing tone, watching the two tangle up.

" looks and sounds like one ! " kora yelled

malina reached over in hopes to grab the letter, " put it back kora !! "

" come on mali ! tell us about it ! " kora said standing up, now holding the paper in the air.

malina stood up, jumping to reach it, " give it back you guys! "

river stood up, grabbing the paper from kora, hiding it behind her back, " give us the details and you can have your little letter back ! " river said.

malina sighed to her defeat,
" fine ! " malina sat down ,
" i got it, a few days ago, when i was at the restaurant with hunter, they just told me i was pretty and funny. i figured it was a fan letter since we were at a local
public diner. "

" when you were with hunter ? "
kora asked , malina nodded, so the blonde looked over at river, " hm weird. " kora pretended to be confused.

" yeah i know! " malina said,
" but whatever, can i have my letter back now? " she asked.

kora looked at river one last time, before river handed malina her love letter back. the two girls didn't have to say it, but they definitely knew who the letter was from.
