I cruised around, and finally headed home at 10 p.m. I went into my room through the window. I checked my messages. None. I cried myself to sleep.
I awoke for school. I felt like I was in a trance. I gragged myself to school, searching for Ricky. It didn't take long. There he was, chatting with Nick and some other guys. I walked straight up to them.
"Oh hey, Ri," Ricky chimmed.
"Hi...Can I talk to you?" I grabbed his hand and dragged him to my locker.
"You alright?" He asked. I looked into his green eyes.
"Kind of," I answered, but I put my arms around him and dug my face in his chest.
"Aw, don't worry. Your parents Care about you," He tried to assure me. I stepped away from him.
"You don't understand..." And he didn't. I got home, and right when I walked through the door, my mother stood there. I tried to walk past her, because I didn't care for her sympathy now, but she stopped me.
"Riley, Guess who called?" She asked flatly. I shrugged.
"Ricky's mother. She told me about the party. You're grounded for the next two days." She sent me to my rokm and I slammed the door. Now Ricky was betraying me? What the hell?
I dialled his numbers quickly.
"Ricky what the hell?!" I yelled into the phone.
"What?" He was confused.
"What? Ricky why did you tell your mom I went to the party?" I asked.
"I didn't...why?"
"My mom is groynding me because your mom called." I spat out the words quickly.
"Well I didn't have anything to do with it...I promise!" His voice got high when he said promise.
"Bullshit!" I screamed, hanging up. I sank to the floor and put my head in my hands. Well, this is my life. I bet you thought it eould be all glitz and glam, but it's not. My parents don't give a crap about me, and my own boyfriend betrayed and lied to me. So there you go, my life is far from perfect.
There was a knock at the door.
"What?" I growled. Mom just opened the door.
"Honey, what's all this screaming about?" she sat on my bed.
"Like you care..." I mumbled. She stood up.
"Damnit, Riley we do care!" Mom yelled.
"Yeah, like all the years you missed my dance recitals and forgot to make me dinner are caring," My eyes were already watering.
"Okay maybe we slipped sometimes but do you know how hard we work for you?! We work 24/7 so you can drive an Audi and go to Yale!" Her arms were moving quick as she screamed, slapping the air.
"I never asked for that!" I challenged. Mom's mouth opened but then closed. Her face softened.
"I-I guess not," She whispered.
"I'm sorry," I said slowly.
"It's okay...you're right. We should be there for you more," Mom admitted. Wait, I really just won that fight?
