I've played foosball before, but I'm not that good at it and neither was Lucy. We were trying so hard to hit the ball in as if our lives depended on it. Back and forth the tiny wooden ball went, never going in the goal until...
SMACK
"Yes! I got one in!" I said fist-pumping the air.
"Yeah, yeah. It was just luck," said Lucy.
I shook my hands, warming them up for another win. "Well, we'll see about that. But first, where is the ball?"
After some "difficulty" I found the ball and we continued to play. Lucy started to get serious as she gripped the handles tighter and leaned forward to look at the game better. The only problem is, it gave me yet again another clear shot at her cleavage. My eyes shot Immediately down at the foosball table. However while looking down at the game I had an epiphany.
'Why am I wasting a great opportunity to get to know her?'
SMACK
"Damn! You won again!" said Lucy with a discouraged look on her face.
"Hey, you will win I promise, I said.
She looked at me with an eyebrow cocked up. "Uh, hu. You're just saying that."
"I am not"
"Fine let's do this!" She got in the same position as before, but this time with determination burning in her eyes.
I got in my place and placed the ball. "You ready?"
She shook her head 'yes.'
I let the ball drop and the game resumed.
'It's now or never Curtis,' I thought.
I looked up at Lucy, opened my mouth, and let the words spill.
And to this day, that was the best decision I made in a long time.
"So, Lucy? Is there anything else I should know about you"
She looked up at me.
'Well here goes nothing,' I thought.
She smiled...
SMACK
and knocked the foosball in my goal.
"What do you want to know?"
I grabbed the ball from the bottom and placed it on the field.
"What's your favorite color?" I said smirking as I hit the ball hard to her goal.
She blocked it.
"Purple, and yours?"
she shot it back to my side.
"Red, why do you like the color purple?"
I blocked with my center field players and kicked back to her side.
She caught the ball with her goalie.
"I just think it is a beautiful color"
She hit it downfield.
"What about you? Why do you like the color red?"
I barely block the ball, but manage to hit across the field at sonic speed...
SMACK
And make a goal.
"I love the color cause it's a very passionate color and I look good in it"
